Senate Condemns USSR Invasion On Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) The senate in a statement released here yesterday had strongly condemned the invasion of former Soviet Union to Afghanistan on 6th Jadi 1358 or Dec, 27, 1979.
In the statement released on the 33rd anniversary of the day which left millions dead, injured and refugees, the senate lauded the Jihad and resilience of the Muslim nation of Afghanistan, saying due to Afghan Jihad the ex-USSR troops defeated and left the country in humiliation.
Afghans throughout the history in spite of having relations with its neighbors have often defended the country’s sovereignty and independents.
The senate in the statement called on the people of Afghanistan to safeguard the country’s proud and jointly work for the peace and prosperity of Afghanistan.
