Corruption Drops 9%

Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Amin Khuramji the deputy to Anti-corruption directorate said yesterday that corruption had dropped down 9 percent in the year of 1391.
However, he added that the phenomenon of corruption has been experienced in any country of the world and the nations have overcome the menace by adopting comprehensive strategy to fight the social evil.
He made the remark while Azizullah Ludin the head of Anti-corruption told recently 100 million Afghanis had been embezzled in the meat contract of the ministry of defense.
However, the deputy to the anti-corruption body, Khuramji revealed that some 300 cases of corruption have been referred to the judiciary and the Attorney General Office.
He also claimed that so far hundreds of millions of US dollars had been regained from corrupt elements.
