In the name of Allah the most gracious and the most compassionate,
Dear brothers and sisters,
Kabul (BNA) Nowadays the air in Kabul has become very bad that will prove unpleasant for its residents especially for children, elders and the sick confronting them with health problems.
Dear countrymen,
In my past talks I also discussed the environment in Kabul, as this is very important and it will endanger the health of the children and residents of the city for this very reason I am repeating the same issue.
Every day after the sun rise Kabul air is seen polluted with dark smoke and its stars are invisible.
The air in Kabul was so clear in the past that its stars could be seen clearly and it was unique the world over.
The foreign tourists in their visit reports used to call Kabul air full of stars and unique. Where this smoke and pollution has come from?
Sisters and brothers,
The Kabul city has expanded very much, it has more vehicles that every day the city streets are jammed, much use is made by foreign agencies of diesel generators and plastic and other materials are used in ovens, baths and bakeries and these produce so much smoke that covers the city’s air, however we can prevent this if we use our private cars on need basis, if we do so there will be no traffic jams and use of generators and ovens should be made in proper times.
Vehicles jammed till clearance of the road should put off their engines and those vehicles having technical defects and produce much smoke should be repaired.
The bath owners and bakeries should avoid usage of plastic and rubber materials as these create dangers to the health of the residents.
The smoke is as dangerous as poison for the people. And, in order to eliminate this, we should look after the sanitation of the city in which we live in.
Dear countrymen,
In order to protect the environment the government has declared Thursdays as public holiday in Kabul city and has adopted some other measures, but these will yield result when all of us cooperate.
I ask all the traders who import oil to look that low quality oil and gas create too much smoke, they should attach attention towards the health of the people rather than their own benefits especially the health of children.
I hope that no one should for their own interests destroy the health of the people.
