MAIMANA CITY (BNA) A senior local commander of Taliban group along with his guard have joined to peace process in northern Faryab province yesterday.
Karim Yurush spokesman of police in Faryab told BNA reporter, Mullah Abdul Halim and his guard have joined to peace process with effort of Afghan security forces in Qaisar district of the province.
The top local commander also have submitted a rocket launcher, a communication mean and a heavy weapon to Afghan security forces, the source added.

KANDAHAR CITY (BNA) Local officials in western Herat province say, known gunmen carried out attack on Mawlavi Sayed Mohammad Shirzadi head of religious and Hajj affairs’ house last night.
Abdul Ahad Walizad spokesman of Herat police told, due to glasses broken, Mr. Shirzadi was injured following the attack.
Now, Sayed Mohammad Shirzadi is living inside his house, Walizad added.

Kabul (BNA) At least 90 anti-government militias were killed and 41 others were wounded during joint military operations led by Afghan security forces within the last 24 hours across the country.
Ministry of national defense press office issued BNA, the joint military operations have been launched by support of Afghan air and artillery force to annihilate armed oppositions, ensure peace and stability and protect the lives and properties of people in insecure areas of Kapisa, Parwan, Ghazni, Paktia, Kandahar, Urozgan, Badghis, Farah, Sar-e-Pul, Balkh, Takhar and Helmand provinces.
Some heavy and light weapons, ammunitions and military equipment have been discovered and seized during the military operations by Afghan security personnel, the source added.
Afghan National Defense and Security Forces by conducting military operations are trying to suppress anti-government militias across the country.

Kabul (BNA) As many as 25 fighters of Taliban group were killed during clashes with Afghan border troops in southern Kandahar province the other day.
The incident took place, while a group of Taliban fighters stormed on Afghan security forces’ checkpoints in Shorabak district of the province.
Commander of Afghan border troops in the south of the country told BNA correspondent, 25 members of Taliban group were killed and several others were wounded following the conflicts.
The source also confirmed the martyrdom of eight Afghan border soldiers during the clashes.
The clashes continued for 4 hours and by reaching reinforcement troops, Taliban militants were forced to flee from the area.
Several weapons belonged to Taliban fighters have been seized by Afghan security forces.

Kabul (BNA) Afghan security forces succeeded to discover and seize hundreds kg explosive materials from eastern Nangarhar province.
The explosive materials belonged to Taliban group have been discovered and seized from Sarkh Dewal region, Roudat district of the province.
Three people who transferring the explosive materials were arrested as well.
Senior commander of Afghan national army in the east of the country told BNA reporter, the explosive materials made from Pakistan and also loading from the country that have discovered when entered to Afghanistan.
Taliban terrorist group had plan to use the materials in making bombs, suicide vests and suicide attacks.

FARAH CITY (BNA) As many as 12 anti-government militias were killed during clashes with Afghan security forces in western Farah province.
Muhibullah Muhib spokesman of police in Farah told BNA correspondent, the conflicts took place when a group of Taliban militants stormed on Afghan security forces’ checkpoints in Sour Abad village, Farah city the provincial capital of the province, in which 12 Taliban fighters were killed and seven others were wounded.
Some heavy and light weapons have been discovered and seized as well, Muhib added.
There were no damages on part of Afghan security troops following the clashes, Muhib concluded.

Kabul (BNA) As many as 37 rebels were killed during joint military operations conducted by Afghan security forces within the last 24 hours across the country.
Ministry of national defense press office stated BNA, the operations have launched by supports of Afghan air and artillery forces to suppress anti-government militias, ensure peace and security and protect the lives and properties of people in insecure areas of Laghman, Nangarhar, Kapisa, Parwan, Ghazni, Kandahar, Urozgan, Sar-e-Pul, Balkh, Takhar and Helmand provinces.
Also, 10 armed oppositions were wounded and some heavy and light weapons have been discovered and seized during the military operations, the source added.

SAR-E-PUL CITY (BNA) A senior local commander of Taliban terrorist group was killed during a special operation in northern Sar-e-Pul province.
Col. Abdul Qayoum Nooristan in-charge of press office in army crops’ special operation told BNA correspondent, Wahab Mala a top local commander of Taliban along with his two men were killed during a special operation led by Afghan commando forces in Sayad district of the province.
Three more Taliban fighters were wounded and several villages have been clean-up from existence of armed oppositions during the military operation, Nooristan added.
Two hideouts of Taliban have been destroyed and the military operation ongoing in the district.
Meanwhile, two Afghan security troops were injured during the operation as well.

MAIMANA CITY (BNA) At least 20 armed oppositions were killed during clashes with Afghan security forces in northern Faryab province the other day.
Col. Mohammad Hanif Rezayee spokesman of 209 Shaheen army corps told BNA reporter, the terrorists were killed during clashes and military operation in relevant areas of Almar and Dawlat Abad districts of the province.
19 more rebels were wounded and some weapons have been seized by Afghan security troops as well, the source added.
Two Afghan security soldiers were martyred and four others were injured following the incidents, Rezayee concluded.

JALALABAD CITY (BNA) Commanders of ISIS and Taliban terrorist groups have been surrendered themselves to Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) in eastern Nangarhar province.
Press office of Nangarhar governor reported BNA, a commander of Taliban group and a commander of ISIS terrorist group along with their hand weapons have been surrendered to ANDSF in the province.
The commanders pledged that they will help with Afghan security forces to ensure security situation in their areas.
