Kabul (BNA) Six Taliban rebels were killed, 11 wounded and 11 others have been detained by security forces in the several provinces of the country. 
Interior ministry press office said to BNA, the security forces conducted six operations in Kunar, Kapisa, Kandahar, Helmand, Ghazni and Herat provinces in which six Taliban were killed, 11 wounded and 11 others have been arrested. 
In these operations, quantity of heavy and light arms consist of 15 different types of arms, 2 Kalashnikovs, a rocket launcher, 984 sets of communication, 4 mines, 140 kg of explosive materials and 3 motorbikes were seized by these forces.  T. Suraya-Yarzada

Kabul (BNA) An ISAF related convoy vehicle had been set ablaze killing its driver after the armed Taliban attacked a coalition convoy in Dushi district of northern Baghlan province, an official said.
Dushi district chief, Shamsuddin Sarhadi said the convoy had been attacked by armed Taliban in Kokbari Khawja Zaid Dushi district of the province resulting one of the vehicle to completely be torched, another partially destroyed and the driver killed.
According to another report, two coalition forces related supply tankers had been burned down in Safa district of southern Zabul Province.
An official from the Zabul provincial police command, Ghulam Jailani said two ISAF convoy vehicles set on fire after the convoy attacked by armed Taliban across the highway of Glokhan between Kabul and Kandahar in Safa district of the province.
He said two fuel tankers of the ISAF had taken fire and completely destroyed and the three drivers wounded, but according to him, the police forces stormed the area and immediately killed in the mutual gun battle.

Kabul (BNA) National Security Council held a meeting chaired by president of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai at the presidential palace with details being provided by minister of education, Dr. Ghulam Farooq Wardak over the security challenges faced by schools in the central province of Ghazni. 
He called the provincial councils role too important in preventing the threats felt from the enemies of education and added that his ministry in coordination with other organs concerned would do more to prevent closure of the schools in the provinces of the country. 
Meanwhile, Minister of Interior, Besmellah Mohammadi provided the meeting with information about the changes brought in the national police formations in some provinces of the country. 
National Defense Minister, Gen. Abdul Raheem Wardak also gave details about the military operations as saying that the entire military operations are being launched by Afghan security forces after the related agreement signed with the international forces. 
Besides discussing the Bagram jail responsibility transfer, the national defense minister also said the files of the prisoners are under investigation in order to be provided with needed resolution. 
The scrutiny transition’s third phase had also been discussed in the meeting after the head of the security transition committee.  Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai presented comprehensive information to the meeting. 
At the end, the national Security Council likewise talked on the Chicago Conference preparations.

Paktika (BNA) Suicide attackers on state foundations in Sharan city center of Paktika province were killed. 
According to the reports, four suicide attackers entering in a trade center at 7:30 last night targeted state foundations of Sharan city in Paktika province. 
The attackers had heavy and light weapons, said the source.
Mokhles Afghan spokesman of Paktika governor in a contact with BNA confirming the report said, the Afghan security forces with cooperation of NATO forces killed these attackers at 12:00am last night. 
According to him, in this attack, a civilian injured. The Afghan forces rescued 32 civilians which were in the mentioned center. 
Local in charges said that this commercial center located away from the state and military foundations but the eyewitness said that the attackers opened fired from the center on the state foundations. 
Although the local in charges said that the Afghan and NATO forces had no casualty in this attack, but eyewitness said to BNA, in this attack, a number of Afghan security forces were killed and wounded. 
According to last reports, security situation is normal in Sharan city and people stared their daily works. 
Mokhlis Afghan spokesman for Paktika governor said that currently the in charges of that province make efforts to identify the attackers.
