Kabul (BNA) interior Ministry sources say that those police personnel who are accused of corruption by the ministry will be questioned in court.  It is said that in his recent visit to the west zone Interior Minister Besmellah Mohammadi had dismissed, replaced and some others were introduced to the court in connection with corruption cases.  In the trip the minister visited prisons, military units in Herat province, Farah, Ghour and Badghis .  In his visit the minister assessed the situation of the prisoners and emphasized on observance of the human rights.  Interior Ministry spokesperson Sedeeq Sedeeqi said that evaluation of security, upgrading the ability of the police in those provinces till the year 2014 in order to prepare the ground for transition of security responsibility, bringing of reforms in the police organizational set up, traffic flow in those cities were the aim of the minister’s visit to those provinces.  Replacing of unhealthy personnel and appointment of active personnel in the positions were the needs that the minister emphasized on them as the people and police foundations in those provinces asked such changes.  Seddeqi added that despite the fact that the minister considered security situation in 1390, however, abductions and existence of irresponsible people in the west zone are challenges towards security and special programs are required to combat these problems.

Kabul (BNA) 17 armed insurgents were killed in separate cleaning up operations by security forces in different areas of the country.
According to interior ministry press office to BNA, In 24 last  hours  the national police forces conducted  8 operations  in the outskirts of Kabul, Kandahar, Kunduz, Helmand, Maidan-Wardak and Ghazni provinces, in which 17 armed insurgents were killed and two were severely injured. 
It is said that in these operations, a quantity of huge heavy and light arms and explosive materials were seized by national police forces as well. 
The source said national police forces in the last 24 hours discovered and defused nine different types of mines from outskirts of Kunar, Nangarhar, Helmand, Maidan-Wardak and Khost provinces which were placed by armed insurgents for destructive and terrorist activities.

Kabul (BNA) Hundreds kg of Marjan precious stones which was smuggling abroad discovered and seized by Afghan forces in Kandahar province today. 
According to reports, these stones have been discovered during a combined operation from hideout in the outskirts of Maiwand district. 
According to NATO press release to BNA, armed Taliban wanted to smuggle these stones to abroad. 
The statement has said nothing about arresting of Taliban and clash between them.

Herat (BNA) Three de-miners from HELOTRUST organization were abducted in Herat province yesterday. 
Security officials of Herat said that the officials of this institution were abducted by unknown men from Ghoryan district of that province.
District Governor of Ghoryan said to BNA, these de-miners was going from the district to Herat city were abducted from Chama-Dam area in 60 km distances in the west of the district. 
The abducted persons were de-mining near Iran border. 
Daud Saba governor of Herat confirming the issue said these de-miners traveled to the city without informing security forces.
