Kabul (BNA) A NATO soldier was killed in attack of rebels in the south of the country. 
NATO in a press statement to BNA confirmed the killing of this military soldier and said nothing about the identity and exact area of the event. 
During the current year, at least 500 foreign militaries were lost their lives in clashes with fighters in Afghanistan.

Kunduz (BNA) At least 16 armed Taliban insurgents were killed in a military operation in Kunduz province this morning. 
This operation conducted for arresting of the commander of these Taliban in Kunduz province. 
It is being said these Taliban were lost their lives in clash with Afghan and NATO forces while making terrorist activities. 
BNA quoting from NATO press statement said, in this military operation 16 armed Taliban have been killed. 
Tens of arms were seized by these forces in this event. According to the statement, this operation conducted for arresting of the commander of killed Taliban, but he was not present in the area. 
The statement said nothing about casualties of Afghan-NATO and civilians in this operation.

Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the Ghundik village girls’ school in Sheer district of Bamyan and said that this illegal act is committed by those who want to keep the Afghans in darkness.
According to the Bamyan governor, the enemies of the people of Afghanistan carried a terrorist attack on the girl’s school in Ghundik village of Sheer district as a result of which the building of the school was damaged.
President Karzai said in his message that the enemies of the bright future of Afghanistan for several years are carrying terrorist attacks on the schools, students and the educationists in the country and this way want to deprive the Afghan children from the blessing of education.
He added that in case the terrorists destroy the school 1000 times, we shall build it again and will provide facility for our children to receive education and we shall not allow anyone to deprive our children from education and become dependent on others.
The president instructed the security personnel to pursue the perpetrators of this terrorist attack and refer them to law enforcement foundations.

Kunar (BNA) In the framework of third phase of handing over of security responsibility from foreign forces to Afghan security forces of three districts and capital city of Asad Abad began the other day.
The local authorizes of this eastern province say that hereafter, the security of Noor Gul, Chauki and Narang and city of Asad Abad city would be maintained by Afghan security forces.
Previously, the US forces beside Afghan security forces were established in these areas.
In handing over ceremony, Kunar governor, Fazlullah Wahedi asked Afghan government to train Afghan forces in light and heavy weapons.
He said that despite lack of necessary equipments, the Afghan forces are ready to maintain security in this province.
At this ceremony, tribal dignitaries asked the Afghan government authorities and international community to adopt measure for self-sufficiency of Afghan military forces from sophisticated light and heavy weapons point of view.
Deputy security minister at ministry of interior affairs general Abdurrahman Rahman and  general Mohammad Akram Deputy Chief of Staff of army of national defense ministry promised at this ceremony to tribal dignitaries that the process of training and equipping of Afghan security forces would get accelerated as soon as possible.
