Kabul (BNA) Officials in interior ministry said yesterday that investigation has been initiated into the killing of 17 civilians in Kajaki district of Helmand province. 
Taliban rebels, according to reports had taken out 17 people including some women from a place in Kajaki district and brutally beheaded them. 
The interior ministry while condemning the tragic incidents in its strongest term calling on people to cooperate police in ensuring law and order in the country and do not allow terrorists to commit crimes.

Kabul (BNA) President Karzai condemned killing of school students in Ghor province and called this as an act against progress and better future of Afghanistan.
The enemies of education abducted 10 students of Charsada district school of Ghor province and later it was found that three of them were killed by them.
President Karzai strongly condemned this merciless act against the students and said the enemies of the welfare of Afghanistan have become so hard-hearted that now they are martyring teenage school children.
President Karzai added that despite the threats against the education the people of Afghanistan will never stop learning knowledge and they will realize the recommendations of their Prophet that learning knowledge is a must for every male and female.
President Karzai conveyed his deep sympathies with the bereaved families of the children and wished peace for the souls of the martyrs.

Kabul (BNA) President Karzai called mass killing of the Taliban of Helmand residents as very merciless.
Based on the preliminary information the Taliban have mercilessly martyred 17 persons including two women in Roshanabad of Shah Karez of Kajakai area.
President Karzai called massive killing of the people by the Taliban as a wild unforgivable crime and this indicated irregularities within their ranks.
President Karzai has instructed security foundations to investigate this incident.

Kabul (BNA) Security authorities of Farah reported from killing three mine planters and destruction of three heroin factories in that province.
Abdul Rahman Zhewand, spokesman of Farah governor told BNA, a group of Taliban wanted to place a mine on the road of Khake Safed district yesterday evening; the mine exploded and killed three of them.
He added, among the killed persons a leader of Taliban included.
Five other Taliban were injured in this event, said the source.
According to the spokesman, three heroin production factories have been destroyed in Backwa district in an operation of Afghan-ISAF forces.
He added, 400 Kg heroin and opium seized from these factories and set on fire later.
The source said, the joint Afghan and ISAF forces seized the heroin producing equipments from these factories.
