Kabul (BNA) In the last 24 hours Afghan security forces and NATO launching clearing operations killed eight insurgents.
Ministry of Interior press office told BNA, the operations launching in relevant areas of Laghman, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Logar, Herat, Ghor and Helmand provinces as a result of which eight insurgents were killed and seven others wounded.
It has been said, some weapons and ammunitions were seized in the operations by security forces.
National police forces also discovered and defused six mines which were planted by armed opposition in relevant areas of Kunduz and Paktika provinces.
According to another report, Kabul police officials arrested eight persons accused of kidnapping and robbery from sixth, seventh, eighth and eleventh precincts of Kabul city yesterday.

Kabul (BNA) Security officials of Badakhshan province said armed opposition bombing failed in Afghan-Tajik joint market (bazar) highway.
The roadside mine planted between Qazida and Sayad areas of Ashkasham district in Afghan-Tajik joint bazar highway.
Abdul Wali Hussini police chief of Ashkasham told BNA, security officials with cooperation of local residents by technical team of border police discovered and defused a mine other day.
According to him, armed oppositions with planting of the mine wanted to carry out a terrorist activity but fortunately their plan defused.
Meanwhile, security officials in Ashkasham district of Badakhshan province said, the efforts started for identifying and capturing of the suspects.

Kabul (BNA) In a mine explosion in Taliban bomb-making factory three armed oppositions were killed in Uruzgan province the day before yesterday.
The incident occurred while three insurgents were busy in bomb-making factory in Qalaragh area, Tarinkot city center of Uruzgan province.
Farid Ayel spokesman of Uruzgan police chief told BNA, three armed oppositions were killed in the explosion.
According to him, security official started searching for identifying and capturing of the suspects.
Recently armed oppositions causalities increased as a result of their own mine explosions.
Few days ago also a mine exploded in an insurgent house which who was a mine-maker in which six members of his family killed and injured in Paktika province.
The explosion occurred when a small child of the insurgent played with the mine.

Kabul (BNA) the national security personnel arrested four people accused of organizing attacks on oil tankers on the roads leading to the province.
The criminals arrested in a special military operation.
Mawlawi Mahrof, Abdulraouf, Abdul Bari and Alawoudin members of Taliban were responsible for organizing terrorist attacks, including attacks on oil tankers convey in northern highways of the country especially in Parwan province.
A source of national security directorate in Parwan province said that the arrested people in initial investigation acknowledged that they were ordered by some senior commanders of armed Taliban for plating magnetic mines, kidnapping and terrorist attacks in some parts of Dosaraka Bagram, Jabel Saraj and Kabul-Parwan highways.
Meanwhile the Kabul-North highways of Afghanistan witness the bloodiest attacks on Oil tankers during over the last few years.
