Kabul (BNA) The appellate court of third district in Kabul sentenced to capital punishment to a murderer yesterday.
Salih Mohammad of Jabal Seraj and currently living in Kabul has confessed that he killed one of his relatives namely Zabihullah, 37 in Chilston area in the, month of Saur this year.
The accused can make appeal against the verdict.

Kabul (BNA) A Taliban commander along with his five armed men laid down arms and joined the peace in Kunduz yesterday, police spokesman Sayed Sarwar Husaini said.
The group under Mullah Abdul Basir was active in Ali Abad district over the past four years, he added, a 10 member Taliban group under Abdul Ghafor who was active in Shahrak district of Ghor province had also left fighting and joined the peace process yesterday, spokesman of Ghor governor, Abdu Hai Khatibi said.

Kabul (BNA) Officials with the ministry for communication and information technology said yesterday that two illegal SIM boxes had been unearthed from 11th and 4th precincts of Kabul and one man has been detained in this regard. 
Engineer Khair Mohammad Faizi the deputy to organizing communication services said at a press conference that 273 SIM cards from MTN Company and 34 more items have been confiscated during the operation and the arrested man has been handed over to police. 
Using such SIM boxes would damage the government economy and the communication firms besides affecting security situation, he added.

Uruzgan (BNA) Five polices and a child martyred and another polices injured in a mine blast in Uruzgan province last evening.
This event occurred in Chora district while a patrol of police forces was passing from the area.
Farid Ayel police spokesman of Uruzgan in a contact with BNA confirmed this report.
According to another report, due to explosion of a bomb in Sarab district of Helmand province six polices martyred and three others wounded.
Security authorities of Helmand said, Taliban placed explosive materials in a motorbike.
Eyewitnesses said, after this explosion, a group of armed Taliban attacked on security forces, but security authorities refused this allegation.
