Kabul (BNA) Seven armed militants were killed in two mopping up operations by Afghan security forces in Paktia and Helmand provinces. 
The interior ministry press office said to BNA,  the Afghan and coalition forces conducted two mopping up operations in the outskirts of Paktia and Helmand provinces, in which 7 armed militants were killed, 4 wounded and 8 others detained. 
A quantity of light and heavy arms and explosive materials were seized by these forces. 
Meanwhile the national police personnel discovered and seized 7 mines, mortar ammunition and 3 gallons full of explosive materials from Kandahar and Logar provinces.

Helmand (BNA) In the attack of Taliban rebels on military base of British forces in Helmand province, 16 armed Taliban and 2 NATO soldiers were killed. 
Prince Heri of British was the target of rebels’ attack, but the local authorities of Helmand said that in this event, he was safe. 
This attack occurred last night on a military base in the suburbs of Washir district in the bazaar and lasted for one and half hour. 
Daud Ahmadi spokesman of Helmand governor said to BNA, in this attack of rebels, 16 armed Taliban and 2 British soldiers were killed. 
Ahmadi said first the rebels carried out rocket attacks on the base and later on they launched landing attack from three sides of this district. 
Meanwhile, Taliban have committed responsibility of this attack and said tens of foreign militaries was killed. 
Taliban confirmed that the aim of this attack was Prince Heri.
The spokesman of Helmand governor said Prince of British arrived Afghanistan two days ago and declared that he will attend beside other militaries in fight against terrorism.

Kabul (BNA) The dignitaries and elders of Paktia province in a meeting on Thursday decided that anybody who cooperate with Taliban, his house will be set on fire.
The dignitaries of that province announced the decision in a gathering was held on the occasion of week of peace.
Amanullah Zadran the advisor minister talking to the participants of the gathering said, unity, consolidation and supporting the government ensure peace in the province which is a must for progress and tranquility of the people.
Therefore, the people should cooperate the government in order to achieve this noble goal. 
One of the elders talking on education, reconstruction and other issues said, the activities are going on the right track, the only problem is insecurity and we should do our best in order to ensure security in our region.
Hajy Kalan Khan an elder of Ahmadzai tribe said, “From now on anybody who works against people and government his house will be set on fire to be an example for others.”
He added, cooperation with Taliban, defames the ethnic groups living  in Paktia, and to prevent this, we will recognize the people who are involved in insecurity and destruction in the province, his house will be set on fire and he himself will be handed over to the state.

Kabul (BNA) The in charge of Radio Kleed in Ghazni province, Nisar Ahmad escaped unhurt as unknown armed men attacked his house in Qalai Azad area last night.
However, he accused the land mafia for the attack, saying his recent report about grabbing land by mafia prompted the attack.
Meantime, a police officer in Ghazni said search operations are underway to indentify and bring to justice those behind the attack.
However, he did name any one but added he had received threatens phone calls.
Meantime Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen the minister for information and culture while condemning the attack called on concerned bodies to indentify and book the culprits.
