Kabul (BNA) At least 17 insurgents were killed in NATO air bombardment in the east of Afghanistan.
These rebels were making terroristic plans on Afghan-NATO and civilians in Mata Khan District of Paktika province came under air attack of NATO and killed.
BNA quoting from a press statement of NATO said, in this air attack 17 Taliban fighters have been killed.
NATO said, in this operation the civilians had no casualties.

Kabul (BNA) At least six civilians martyred in a mine explosion in Paktia province today.
The mine was planted by armed Taliban exploded while a farmer with a tractor and a number of civilians faced with it.
Mokhles Afghan spokesman of Paktia governor told BNA, in this explosion six civilians martyred.
He added another civilian has injured in this event.
Mokhles called Taliban the responsible of mine planting and said, searching operation started for arresting the culprits of the event.
The health condition of the wounded person called critical.

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai strongly denounced the suicide attack carried out in Herat province.
According to Herat Governor’s Office, a suicide bomber targeted a market in Kushk Kunah district of Herat province; as a result, 3 people were killed while 8 others wounded. Tribal elders were also among those killed and injured.
President Karzai termed as long-time conspiracy the attacks plotted by Afghans’ enemies to target tribal elders and public gatherings in Afghanistan.
The President added, “Such terrorist attacks cannot weaken the role of our tribal elders but would further embolden their determination towards building a strong and united Afghanistan.”
The President offers his deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and wishes full recovery for the wounded.

Maidan-Shahar (BNA) In a joint operation of Afghan and International forces under the name of “Tander” since last night four armed rebels killed, six injured and three others arrested.
This operation carried out for ensuring security on Kabul-Maidan-Wardak highway.
Gen. Nawab Khan Commander of Afghan forces told this news agency, the operation which started since last night in Sayed Abad and Cheak districts of Maidan-Wardak including two Pakistani nations four armed oppositions killed, six injured and three others arrested.
He added, a large number of arms, ammunitions and explosive materials have seized from the arrested men.
Col. Abdul Qaium Baqi commander of Maidan-Wardak security commandment told BNA, the Tander operation started for ensuring security on Kabul-Maidan-Wardak highway and till the complete elimination of rebels from the villages and districts of the province will continue.
He said, two armed oppositions killed and three were injured in the operation, have been arrested by Afghan forces.
