Kabul (BNA) Three local commanders of armed Taliban arrested in some provinces of the country.
These commanders were arrested during operations of Afghan and NATO forces from related areas of Alisheng of Laghman, Charboldak of Balkh and Nahr Sarja of Helmand provinces.
NATO in a press statement to BNA said, these commanders were busy on making terrorist tactics on Afghan and NATO forces have been arrested.
It is said, during these operations clashes have been occurred in which a number of rebels were killed and arrested.
According to the source, a large number of weapons and narcotics have been seized and destroyed in the related areas.
It is not said anything regarding the casualties of Afghan-NATO forces and civilians in these operations.

Herat (BNA) Due to explosion of a bomb in a foodstuff market in Herat four civilians killed and 12 others wounded.
This explosion occurred before this noon in a foodstuff marked in the center of Shendand district.
Local authorities said, armed Taliban placed a bomb in a wagon and exploded among the people who came for shopping in the market.
Mohideen Noori spokesman of Herat governor told BNA, in this blast four civilians were killed and 12 others including four polices wounded.
According to spokesman, the bomb was controlled from long distance.
Meanwhile, doctors in a health center called the health condition of four injured persons which include a woman and a child critical.

Kunduz (BNA) Three persons were killed and seven others wounded in an armed clash between two irresponsible armed groups in Kunduz province yesterday.
This clash occurred in Kobaiee area in the vicinity of Kunduz city.
It is said, the clash lasted for 3 hours and after interfering of police, it ended.
Sayed Sarwar Hosiani spokesman of police in Kunduz province called the reason of the clash, personnel and group hostility among the irresponsible armed groups.
Hosiani said, police arrested six suspects regarding this case.
Possessing weapons with irresponsible men is a big challenge for ensuing peace.

KABUL: A NATO Black Hawk helicopter came down in southern Afghanistan on Thursday, killing seven American soldiers and four Afghans, the military said.

The four Afghans included three members of the Afghan security forces and a civilian interpreter, NATO's US-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said.

"The cause of the crash is under investigation," it said, adding that the helicopter was a UH-60 Black Hawk. The statement gave no further details.


The ISAF statement did not use its normal phrasing for a simple helicopter crash, which includes the line that no enemy activity was reported in the area.

Helicopter crashes are fairly frequent in Afghanistan, where the 130,000-strong NATO mission relies heavily on air transport
