Kabul (BNA) 11 Taliban rebels were killed, 2 wounded and 8 others were arrested during security mission of police forces. 
Interior Ministry press office said to BNA, in the last 24 hours, the police forces conducted five combined operation for cleaning the insure areas from presence of Taliban in Faryab, Jowzjan, Kandahar,  Logar and Ghazni provinces in which 11 Taliban rebels were killed, 2 wounded and 8 others were detained. 
In these operations, a PK machine-gun, 4 different types of arms, 3 mines, 12 kg of explosive materials and 10 motorcycles of enemies were seized by these forces. 
According to another report, the national police forces in their patrol in the outskirts of Zherai district of Kandahar province arrested, two mine planters who wanted to place an anti-vehicle mine along the road of this district.

FAIZABAD (BNA) A Taliban commander Mullah Abdul Fatah along with nine of his men joined peace process in Argo district of Badakhshan yesterday, Governor’s spokesman Abdul Marouf Rasikh said.
In his remarks, Mullah Fatah said he would defend the peace and reconstruction from now besides calling on Taliban to give up fighting and join the peace process.
He also handed over 10 assault rifles to authorities.
According to another report, two more armed insurgents joined the peace process in Sar-i-Pul province yesterday and vowed to defend the government from now on.

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai has condemned bomb attack inside a mosque in Uruzgan province that left the prayer leader dead and injured four others yesterday, as statement released by Presidential Palace said.
In the statement, the president said that the enemies of the people of Afghanistan conducted terrorist attack inside a mosque in Khirokariz area Monday morning murdering the prayer leader Mawlawi Taj Mohammad and injured four others.
The president in the statement described it as against Islam human being and strongly condemned the coward act.
In the statement, the president expressed sympathy with the family of late Taj Mohammad and prayed for early recovery of those injured in the blast.

Kabul (BNA) Police have arrested 26 people on charge of being involved in smuggling drug and alcoholic beverages and the judiciary sentenced them five to 20 prison terms. 
The items discovered from them include 57 kg heroin, 1812 kg opium, 58 kg morphine, 240 kg hashish and 775 liter alcoholic beverages. 
The court has already convicted an Iranian national on charge of drug smuggling to 18 years prison.
