Kabul (BNA) The authorities of defense ministry announced that their forces discovered and seized a quantity of weapons and ammunitions in Kandahar and Helmand provinces. 
Moreover, an Afghan National army soldier killed while performing his duty in Kandahar province. 
Forces belong to Atal 205 battalion seized three mortar shells, one rocket propelled grenade RPG, 52 heavy machinegun bullets, 4 heavy machine guns and a motorcycle during an operation conducted in Zheray district of Kandahar province. 
In a separate military operation Afghan national army forces sized seven landmines along with two bags full of poppy seeds from “Gremsair” and Mussa Qala districts of Helmand province.

Kabul (BNA) Border police authorities of Nangarhar province announced that their forces seized 70 kg of Heroine in “Khogyani” district of Nangarhar province. 
Edris Mohammad, the press officer of east zone border police told this news agency that their forces discovered 17 packs of heroine which were skillfully packed in a Toyota Corolla car in Wazir Ahmad Khail area of Khogyani district of Nangarhar province. 
The drug traffickers engaged in a gun battle with the border police forces and after a while escaped from the area. 
No casualties occurred to the border police forces, Mr. Mohammad added. 
It is worth mentioning that since the beginning of this year, Nangarhar border police seized around ten tons of narcotics from different areas of eastern Afghanistan.

Gardiz (BNA) Four suspects were detained in Paktika yesterday. 
Lt. General Gul Hotak spokesman of 203 army corp. commandment of that province said to BNA, the personnel of that commandment detained three suspects from Samkani district with a rival. 
According to him, in another operation conducted by these forces in Maidan-Wardak province another suspect arrested with a number of weaponries were seized.   Translated by Suraya-Yarzada

Kabul (BNA) Interior minister Bismillah Mohmmadi, Turkish minister of interior, Turkish mayor for Sabuas city a number of military officials for both countries participated in a graduation ceremony of 492 Afghan police officers from a police academy in Sabuas city of Turkey. 
The graduated Afghan police officers received professional education for six months in a Turkish police academy in Sabuas city of the country. 
Minister of interior delivered speech in the ceremony and said, “one of top priorities of the ministry is education and training the Afghan police. 
Therefore, with close cooperation of international community and Turkey, we have been able to send more than 400 Afghan youth for higher professional education to Turkey.” 
Minister of interior made the new graduates follow their responsibilities and play vital role in maintaining security and improving of national police by the use of their experiences and education. 
The minister also appreciated the Turkey for its cooperation in this sector and stressed for further cooperation with Afghan ministry of interior.
