Kabul (BNA) two civilians were martyred and three others wounded in two roadside mine blasts in Kandahar province yesterday.  According to police chief of Kandahar, these two blasts occurred in the Shahwalicot district and Takhta Pul of Kandahar province.  The first blast occurred in the vicinities of Shahwali Cot district, in which two civilians were martyred and two others were wounded.  Second blast occurred in the Takhta Pul area of Kandahar province, in this event explosion of mine struck in a Tractor, in which the driver of the Tractor was wounded.  Police of Kandahar province said that Taliban are involved in planting of these mines.

Herat (BNA) 13 armed insurgents attributed to Taliban group joined to peace process in Herat province yesterday. 
These insurgents led by Mullah Basir who had terrorist activities against the government in Shindand district. 
They were joined in presence of a number of civil and military authorities with their arms to peace process in the security commandment of that province. 
It is said that during the current year, 330 insurgents were joined to peace process in that province.

Kabul (BNA) Ten armed insurgents were killed and 40 others were detained by national police forces in the provinces of the country. 
According to interior ministry press office, the national police forces in combined with the national army, national security and coalition forces conducted operations in the outskirts of Nangarhar, Kandahar, Helmand and Balkh provinces, in which ten Taliban insurgents were killed and 40 others were detained. 
In these operations, 5 Kalashnikovs, 13 mines, 2 suicide vests, 140 kg of explosive materials, 250 kg of narcotic and 3 motorbikes were seized by these forces, said the source.
Meanwhile, national police forces discovered and defused 6 anti-vehicle mines, 2 gallons full of explosive materials which were placed by armed insurgents for destructive and terrorist actions in the vicinities of Laghman, Zabul and Helmand province.

Kabul (BNA) The 207 Zafar army corps of Herat province distributed at a value of Afs 494,000 of foodstuffs and cloths to deserved families in Koshk and Robat Sangi district of Herat province yesterday. 
According to defense ministry press office, this assistance consists of blanket, flour, rice mattress and  ghee  were distributed to deserved families in Khalil, Jafar Beg, Khalifa Rahmat villages and Khwaja Noor  of Koshk  and Robat Sangi district of that province.
