Farah (BNA) Ten armed Taliban insurgents were detained by police in the outskirts of Poshtroad district of Farah province. 
Colonel general Sayed Mohammad Roshandel , police chief of Farah province said to this news agency, police conducted military operation in the vicinities of Poshtroad district of Farah province in which 10 armed Taliban were detained. 
In this operation 5 Kalashnikovs, 2 anti-vehicle mines, 4 set of communication, 50 kg of explosive device and 70 kg of narcotics were seized by police.

Kabul (BNA) Five armed commanders along with their 90 associates yesterday joined the Afghan peace process in Kandahar, Herat and Laghman provinces. 
According to NDS, commander Qudratullah with his 50 associates in Kandahar, Commander Mullah Sardar Alizai with his 10 associates in outskirts of Shindand district of Herat and Mawlavi Shamsuddin and Mawlavi Hafta Gul in outskirts of Dawlat Shah District of Laghman have joined the peace process. 
The individuals who had been active for months in the outskirts of the provinces have renounced violence and joined the process along with their arms and weapons. 
Meanwhile, Commander Malik Asil, along with his 20 associates, has joined the peace process in outskirts of Nangarhar province.

Kabul (BNA) The National Security Council Meeting was attended by vice-presidents, senior minister, ministers of defense, interior, foreign affairs, finance, acting minister of energy and water, general director of national security department, chief of staff, and some generals of national army and chairman of the commission for transition of security. 
The meeting discussed training equipping of national army, seeking ways for strengthening of the national army that can in the long-term independently defense of the country. 
General Commander of the Armed Forces, President Karzai after evaluating the long-term strategy of the defense ministry, advanced specific questions on equipping and supplying of national army, its structure, independent financing of defensive forces of the country and specifying of its sources after 2014. 
After discussions on those issues, the National Security Council instructed the Defense Ministry to provide answers for the questions in the coming meeting so that in the light of that decisions will be adopted.

Kabul (BNA) 250 policemen who were participated in literacy courses, received graduation certificates in a function was held in the hall of 101 police zone of Kabul yesterday.   
According to 101 police zone of Kabul to BNA, a function was held for this purpose, colonel Mohammad Ayoob Salangi commander of 101 police zone of Kabul during distribution of certificates asked their attention on their duties and appreciated cooperation of World Society, specially efforts of interior ministry in this field and stressed for launching of such courses for raising capacities of Kabul police.  Translated by Suraya-Yarzada
