Kabul (BNA) At least sixteen Taliban insurgents including the shadow governor of the group for Northeastern Takhar province were killed in an operation in Kunduz province.
The Kunduz police commandment in a statement said the attack was carried out in the vicinity of Dasht-e-Archi district.
The statement further added that the insurgents were targeted in Pul-e-Moman area of Dasht-e-Archi, leaving Taliban’s shadow governor Qari Tayeb dead along with at least 15 insurgents.
The police commandment did not elaborate further regarding the attack, but he noted that the Taliban leader was killed in an airstrike, however it is not clear if the airstrike was carried out by the Afghan Air Force or the US forces based in Afghanistan.

Kabul (BNA)  25 armed oppositions were arrested and 17 others were killed and injured in the last 2 hours across the country.
According to Atal 205 army corps directorate press office to BNA, the 205 army corps personnel with other security forces launching clearing operations in Maiwand district, Kandahar province detained 25 armed insurgents, killed 2 others.
Likewise, in other operation, 8 armed insurgents were killed and five others were injured in Nesh district, Kandahar province.
Another operation conducted by these forces in Safa district, in which 4 Taliban reels were lost their lives.
Three round of different type of mines were also discovered and neutralized by these forces in Nesh district, Kandahar province.

Jalalabad (BNA) nine people have been detained on charges of different crimes in Nangarhar province.
The people were arrested during a recent day in Momand Dara and Hasaka Mina districts and Jalalabad city.
Ataullah Khogyani spokesman for Nangarhar governor told BNA, the people were arrested on charges of murder, Theft and wine sales.
15 people were also detained in connection of different crimes by police forces the other day.

Kabul (BNA)  As a result of air and ground raids 26 Daesh were killed in Nangarhar province.
According to Ataullah Khogyani spokesman for Nangarhar governor 8 Taliban militants including 2 Pakistani insurgents were lost their lives by security forces raids in Khogyani district.
Also in this operation the Afghan security forces have been seized four weapon caches of Taliban in Hasaka Mina, Sorkhroad, Kot and Achen districts.
