Kabul (BNA) 90 armed oppositions were killed, 29 wounded and two others were wounded during military operations conducted by Afghan National Security and Defense Forces (ANSDF) within the last 24 hours throughout the country.
Ministry of National Defense press office spokesman reported BNA, the operations were launched with support of Afghan air and artillery forces to suppress anti-government militias, to ensure security and stability, protect and lives and properties of people and government sovereignty in insecure districts of Nangarhar, Laghman, Kapisa, Maidan/Wardak, Paktika, Logar, Kandahar, Urozgan, Zabul, Herat, Baghlan, Jawzjan, Faryab and Helmand provinces.
Some heavy and light weapons, ammunitions and military mobilizations have been discovered by Afghan security personnel during the operations, the source added.

Kabul (BNA) Two heroin production factories discovered and destroyed in special operation by Afghan national army and national police in Helmand province.
Ministry of Interior told BNA, 700 liters of liquid opium and 40 kegs Morofine,   50 kgs of Ammonium chloride, have been discovered and destroyed during the operation.
The factory is located in Maykhail village of Helmand province.

Kabul (BNA) As many as 10 insurgents of Haqqani militant faction were killed the other day after Afghan security forces struck their position in the country’s eastern province of Paktika, the Interior Ministry said on Tuesday.
“On Monday evening, a top commander of the Haqqani terrorist network along with nine others killed and two others wounded in a targeted airstrike of the Afghan Air Force,” the ministry said in a statement.
The statement did not disclose the identity of the killed commander, only saying that the airstrike occurred in Dara-e-Shinki village, Zirok district in the province, 155 km south of Kabul.
As a Taliban-linked group of militants, the Haqqani network mostly operating in eastern provinces and capital Kabul, has been responsible for many high-profile attacks against security forces.
The strike also destroyed two vehicles together with light and heavy rounds of ammunition, the statement noted.
“The Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) have stepped up counter-terrorism operations with improved close-air support to suppress the insurgency activities of the anti-government armed militant groups,” the statement added.

Kabul (BNA) National Directorate of Security personnel (NDS) discovered a car packed explosive in Laghman province.
According to NDS press office to BNA, a car packed explosive was placed by a terrorist group, Qari Alem in one of crowded areas of Mehtarlam city capital of Laghman province, before explosion, discovered by NDS personnel.
