Mazar-e-Sharif City (BNA) Taliban’s making mine center has been discovered during a special operation conducted by National Directorate Security (NDS) personnel in northern Balkh province.
NDS press office stated BNA, suicide vests, sticky bombs and remote control mines have been made in the mine factory.
Several rounds of different types of mines, light weapons and military equipment have been discovered from the mentioned manufacture, the source added.
Armed oppositions were used the mine making center for destructive and terrorist activities in north and northeastern provinces of the country.

Kabul (BNA) Two weapon caches of Taliban were discovered in Surkhrod and Khoghyani districts of Nangarhar province.
A police commander in the east of the country told BNA, several heavy and light weapons and some explosives were seized.
He said, Taliban used the weapons for terrorist activities.
It has been said, no one has been detained in the connection of the case.

Kabul (BNA) As many as 37 Taliban militants have been killed as the Afghan security forces conducted military operations elsewhere within the last 24 hours, said the ministry of defense in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the statement, “Afghan National Defense and Security Forces conducted offensives in order to protect lives and properties of people in countryside within the last 24 hours. As a result, 37 insurgents were killed, 14 wounded and three suspects were arrested,”.
Among the killed were eight key members of Taliban in southern Helmand province, according to the statement.
The security forces also destroyed four insurgents’ strong hideouts and defused six landmines recently planted by the militants, it said.
However, the statement did not disclose if there were any casualties on the side of security forces.

Kabul (BNA) Joint clearing operation under the code name of ‘Tofan 62’ has been started in Wata-Poor district of Kunar province yesterday.
Ministry of Defense (MoD) press office stated BNA, the operation was led under the leadership of Silab 201 national army infantry battalion in Kunar province.
