Kabul (BNA)  A statement from the Presidential Press Office quoted BNA said Sunday that new security officials have been appointed for the country’s western Farah province. Gen. Abdul Samad Shams has been appointed as the provincial National Director of Security and Gen. Fazul Ahmad as Sarwari as the provincial police chief, said the agency.  Former security officials have failed to tighten security of the province, amid rising insurgency in the province.  The provincial security officials have started their works after being introduced by the Deputy Defense and Interior Ministers during a ceremony at the provincial office, according to the agency.  In another step, the president appointed Massoud Bakhtawar as the deputy governor of the province, where the main aim was to improve governance and restore firm security to the province.

FARAH CITY (BNA) More than 35 armed oppositions were killed during military operation conducted by Afghan security forces in western Farah province.
Mohibullah Mohib spokesman of Farah police told BNA reporter, the military operation have launched in various parts of Anar Dara district of the province, in which 35 anti-government militias including Mullah Sayed Azim shadow district governor of Taliban for Anar Dara district were killed and dozens other were wounded.
Some heavy and light weapons belonged to the terrorists have been seized during the military operation, Mohib added.

FARAH CITY (BNA) Taliban intelligence in-charge for Andar Dara district, western Farah province was killed during a military operation the night before last.
Mohibullah Mohib spokesman of Farah police told BNA correspondent, Mawlavi Esmatullah known as Anas intelligence in-charge of Taliban group for Anar Dara district was killed during a military operation conducted by Afghan security forces in the district.

Aibak (BNA) Taliban shadow governor for Samangan province with his four colleagues was killed yesterday.
Mohammad Hanif Rezaee Shaheen 209 army corps spokesman told BNA, Mawlavi Nooruddin Taliban shadow governor for Samangan province with his four colleagues was killed in air raid conducted by security troops in Toqsan village, Dar-e-Sof Paen district of the province.
The attack took place when Mawlavi Nooruddin Taliban shadow governor with his colleagues was moving to Toqsan village by a car.
