Kabul (BNA) More than eight fighters of Taliban group were killed during clashes with Afghan security forces in eastern Paktika province last night.
Shah Mohammad Arian spokesman of police chief in Paktika told BNA reporter, the conflicts took place after a group of Taliban fighters stormed on Afghan security forces’ checkpoints in JaniKhail and Matakhan districts of the province, as a result eight rebels were killed and several others were wounded.
A security soldier was martyred and two more were wounded during the clashes, Arian added.
Arian further added that in-charge of guerrilla attacks of Taliban for Paktika province was killed following an ambush conducted by Afghan national police personnel in the province.

Kabul (BNA) At least 10 local up-rising personnel supporting government lost their lives following Taliban attack in northern Takhar province the other day.
Khalil Aseer spokesman of Takhar’s police chief told BNA correspondent, the local up-rising personnel lost their live, while a group of Taliban fighters carried out attack on their security checkpoints in Beshtek region, Chah Aab district of the province.
In several hour clashes, Taliban fighters also sustained fatalities, but the exact number is not clear, Aseer added.

Kabul (BNA) The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today reported 310 new positive cases of the coronavirus from 889 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
According to BNA report, the ministry also reported 12 new deaths from COVID-19 and 77 recoveries within the last 24 hours.
With this, the total cases are now 29,143 the total reported deaths are 598, and total recoveries are 8,841.

Kabul (BNA) As many as 8 fighters of Taliban group were killed during clashes with Afghan security forces in Nahrin district, northern Baghlan province the night before last.
Jawid Busharat spokesman of Baghlan’s police told BNA, the conflicts took place, while a group of Taliban militants stormed on several Afghan security forces’ checkpoints in Nahrin district of the province that were faced with full resistance of Afghan security forces.
During 4-hour clashes eight Taliban fighters were killed and seven more wounded, Busharat added.
Two Afghan local police personnel lost their lives and four others were injured following the conflicts, Busharat further added.
During the attack, Taliban set on fire several stores in Bazzar Nahrin district and caused heavy financial losses to their owners, Busharat concluded.
