70 Kgs Opium Discovered In Samangan

Aibak (BNA) 70 kilograms opium discovered and a person has been arrested accused of smuggling by police forces in Samangan province.
Col. Mohammad Akram Bigzad police chief of the province said BNA, the smugglers placed the narcotic drug skillfully in a vehicle and wanted to smuggle it from Baghlan to Balkh province, which discovered and seized by counter-narcotic drug police forces checkpoint in Kabul-Mazar-e-Sharif highway.
The driver of the vehicle arrested by police accused of the case, Bigzad added.
Recently, police officials of counter-narcotic drug succeeded to discover and seize some narcotic drugs in the province, Bigzad further added.
According to another report, Afghan National Army during their routine duties discovered and seized an 82mm mortar shell, some ammunitions and a motorcycle in relevant areas of Maiwand district, Kandahar province.
