Kabul (BNA) Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) led clearing operation with cooperation of air-forces a week ago under the code name of “Naiza” in Logar province ended successfully.
Salim Salih Logar governor spokesman told BNA, the operation was carried out one week ago in relevant areas of Charkh, Baraki-Barak and some parts of Pul-e-Alam district for elimination of armed insurgents in which 1310 insurgents including 6 foreign nationals and 4 suicide bombers were killed and wounded, and 5 others were detained.
Also 40 mines discovered and defused in the operation.
He added during the operations several vehicles, explosives, heavy and lights weapons were sized.
In the operation a rocket fired by armed insurgents on a residential house in which a woman was martyred and 10 local residents including three children were wounded, Salih said.
Also during the operation 5 national army soldiers were wounded.
