Taliban Attack Repulsed On Police Academy In Maidan Wardak

Maidan-Shaher (BNA) The Afghan security forces have repulsed a Taliban attack on a police academy in Maidan Wardak last night.
Abdul Rahman Mangal spokesman for Maidan-Wardak governor told BNA, the Taliban insurgents launched a coordinated attack on police academy in Syedabad district.
He said, several Taliban insurgents including suicide bombers attempted to storm the police academy in Dasht-e-Top area.
He said the Afghan security forces repulsed the attack, inflicting heavy casualties to the assailants.
In the meantime, the security officials said that 15 Taliban insurgents including some suicide bombers were killed during the clashes.
According to security officials, the security forces did not suffer any losses in the clashes
