Hundreds Jeribs of Lands Cleared From Poppy Cultivation

Kabul (BNA) Hundreds acres of lands have been cleared from poppy cultivation in eastern Nangarhar province.
The poppy cultivated farms eradicated in relevant areas of Dara Noor, Bati Koot, Sarkh Roaud, Khogyani and Roaudat districts of the province.
Ataullah Khogyani provincial spokesman for Nangarhar told BNA reporter, within the last 2 days about 1000 jeribs of lands have been clean-up from poppy cultivation.
Local officials from departments of agriculture, irrigation and livestock and counter-narcotic drug are cooperating with Afghan security forces in this campaign.
