Foreign Troops Operation Leaves 20 Insurgents Dead

Kabul (BNA) At least 20 armed oppositions were killed during a military operation led by foreign troops in Urozgan province.
The militants have been targeted and killed in relevant areas of Khas Urozgan district of the province yesterday.
Commander of Atal army corps in the south of the country told BNA reporter, 20 terrorists were killed and their several hideouts have been destroyed during the military operation.
Local residents say, Taliban militants targeted via air and ground during the operation.
According to another report, Afghan security forces by discovering and defusing 8 round of different type of mines succeeded to prevent a series of deadly incidents in Urozgan province.
No individual or group has commented regarding the mine planting so far, but local officials claimed that Taliban militants are responsible for the mine planting.
