MoD: Joint Military Operations Leaves 71 Rebels Dead

Friday January 4, 2019 Kabul (BNA) At least 71 armed oppositions were killed and 49 others were wounded during joint military operations led by Afghan security forces within the last 24 hours across the country. Ministry of National Defense by releasing a statement issued that the military operations have been launched by support of Afghan air and artillery forces to annihilate anti-government militias and protect the lives and properties of people in insecure areas of Nangarhar, Kapisa, Paktika, Paktia, Ghazni, Kandahar, Daikundi, Farah, Badghis, Faryab and Helmand provinces. Also, five suspects were arrested, ammunitions, some heavy and light weapons have been seized and several hideouts belonged to the terrorists have been destroyed during the military operations, the statement added.
