Kabul (BNA)  A statement from the Presidential Press Office quoted BNA said Sunday that new security officials have been appointed for the country’s western Farah province. Gen. Abdul Samad Shams has been appointed as the provincial National Director of Security and Gen. Fazul Ahmad as Sarwari as the provincial police chief, said the agency.  Former security officials have failed to tighten security of the province, amid rising insurgency in the province.  The provincial security officials have started their works after being introduced by the Deputy Defense and Interior Ministers during a ceremony at the provincial office, according to the agency.  In another step, the president appointed Massoud Bakhtawar as the deputy governor of the province, where the main aim was to improve governance and restore firm security to the province.
