40 Civilians Lost Their Lives Following Air Attack

LASHKARGAH CITY (BNA) At least 40 civilians lost their lives and 13 other were wounded following air attack in a wedding ceremony in southern Helmand province last night.
The incident took place in Musa Qala district of the province that all victims of the event are wedding’s participants.
A member of provincial council in Helmand told BNA correspondent, 40 civilians lost their lives and 13 others were injured during the air raid.
Most of the victims of the attack are women and children, he added.
According to reports, first Afghan air forces have been targeted Taliban and Al-Qaeda fighters in Musa Qala district, in which several insurgents were killed, then the remaining rebels went to the wedding ceremony that for second time targeted by Afghan air forces as well.
Senior commander of Afghan national army in the south of the county confirmed the incident says, several internal and external rebels were killed during the attack.
Casualties also feared to participants of the wedding ceremony as well, the commander added.
