NSA Chairs meeting to Review Security situation of Northern Provinces

Kabul (BNA) National Security Advisor Dr. Hamdullah Mohib on his visit to Mazar-e-Sharif reviewed security situation of the country’s Northern provinces.
Chaired by National Security Advisor, a meeting held yesterday with participation of governors, police chiefs and security officials of Balkh, Jawzjan, Faryab, Samangan and Sar-e-Pul to review security situation of the respective provinces.
In the meeting, commander of Shaheen Corps first briefed related security situation, developments, problems and future programs which would be implemented in the respective provinces.
Officials of the respective provinces said that security situation has improved comparing to past, adding that coordination between the country’s defense and security organs have been better now as armed opponent groups have sustained heavy casualties in the respective provinces in recent months.
After hearing their reports and suggestions, the country’s National Security Advisor Dr. Hamdullah Mohib by praising military officials for their commitment, professionalism and experiences added civil and military officials should jointly expand their works and activities against terrorists in accordance to demands of the people.
National security advisor said that it was necessary that terrorist groups should be further suppressed during the ANDSF military operations in the country, instructing also police officials to take serious actions against law violators in the respective provinces.
