Taliban Sustained Casualties in Kandahar, Zabul Provinces

Kandahar (BNA) Sixteen Taliban rebels were killed in recent attacks of Afghan security troops in Kandahar and Zabul provinces and numbers of this group have been injured.
The rebels were suppressed in parts of Khakrez and Maiwand districts of Kandahar and Arghandab and Shahr-e-Saf districts of Zabul.
Media office of security troops stationed in Kandahar with releasing a statement said, sixteen Taliban rebels were killed and dozens others have been injured.
Two hideouts of Taliban with all war equipment have been demolished.
According to another report, two armed Taliban were killed in their own mine blasts in Kandahar.
The rebels while wanted to plant a mine in a main road in Sahwalikot district bazaar, the mine exploded and killed them.
Likewise, police of Kandahar and Zabul provinces discovered and confiscated 28 mines from busy roads of the provinces and prevented from a series of explosions.
Security officials blamed Taliban for the failed mine planting.
