Taliban Sustained Losses in Nahrin’s Baghlan

Kabul (BNA) As many as 8 fighters of Taliban group were killed during clashes with Afghan security forces in Nahrin district, northern Baghlan province the night before last.
Jawid Busharat spokesman of Baghlan’s police told BNA, the conflicts took place, while a group of Taliban militants stormed on several Afghan security forces’ checkpoints in Nahrin district of the province that were faced with full resistance of Afghan security forces.
During 4-hour clashes eight Taliban fighters were killed and seven more wounded, Busharat added.
Two Afghan local police personnel lost their lives and four others were injured following the conflicts, Busharat further added.
During the attack, Taliban set on fire several stores in Bazzar Nahrin district and caused heavy financial losses to their owners, Busharat concluded.
