Kabul (BNA) four local commanders of armed Taliban rebels were arrested in several military operations in Afghanistan last night.  These commanders targeted by Afghan and NATO forces while terrorist activities in the outskirts of Helmand, Ghazni, Ghoor and Kandahar provinces.  BNA quoting from NATO statement, these commanders had committed leadership of several terrorist attacks in the regions of these provinces.  It is being said that number of other fighters were killed and arrested in these operations.  NATO said quantity of arms and explosive materials of Taliban were seized by these forces as well.  This statement said nothing about casualties of Afghan, NATO and civilians in these operations.

Kandahar (BNA) 18 armed Taliban rebels were killed in clash by Afghan forces in Kandahar province.  This clash occurred when tens of armed Taliban rebels attacked on security post of Registan district.  Jaweed Faisal spokesman of Kandahar governor in contact with BNA confirmed the report and said in this clash 18 armed Taliban rebels have been killed.   According to reports, number of Pakistani nations and two local commanders of this group are among the killed militias, but the spokesman of Kandahar governor said assessments have been started for identifying of the killed fighters.

Mine blast wounds 2 civilians in Ghazni

Ghazni (BNA) two civilians were wounded in mine blast in Ghani province yesterday.  This event occurred in the Bahlool Sahib area, while passing of two civilians from the area.  Baz Mohammad Hemat head of civil hospital of Ghazni said to BNA, the two wounded civilians one of them was policeman and other was solider of national army.  He called the health condition of the one of solider critical.

2 NATO soldiers killed in Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) two NATO soldiers were lost their lives in attack of armed Taliban in Afghanistan yesterday; these soldiers were lost their lives by Taliban attack in their patrol in Helmand province.  According to NATO press statement said to BNA, the identity of these solders had not clear.  Other NATO solider was lost his lives in similar event in the south of Afghanistan in Helmand province.  American and British soldiers were stationed in Helmand province.  From beginning of the current year up not, at least 550 NATO soldiers were lost their lives in attack of Taliban terrorists in Afghanistan.

Balkh (BNA) 18 civilians were killed and at least 15 others wounded in mine blast in Balkh province this morning.  This event happened which a car of civilians struck with planted mine.  Colonel Abdul Raraz Qaderi police chief of Balkh said to BNA, in this event 18 civilians were killed and 15 others of them were wounded.  It should be said that women and children are among the victims and injured of this event.  According to reports the passengers of this car going to a wedding ceremony which they targeted by this mine.   Police chief of Balkh called armed Taliban responsible of this planted mine.  Meanwhile, Drs in a medical center of Balkh province called the health condition of 4 inured critical.

Kabul (BNA) four local commanders of Taliban were killed in a military operation in Afghanistan last night.  These commanders were lost their lives by Afghan and NATO forces in the outskirts of Helmand, Kandahar, Ghazni and Paktika provinces, according to NATO press statement said to BNA, these commanders were killed by these forces while organizing of terrorist attacks.  It its being said, in these operations, number of other fighters were killed and injured as well.  Tens of heavy and light arms and quantity of explosive devices of Taliban were seized in these operations.  In other event, these forces reported from arresting of other 3 Taliban in Helmand province.  These Taliban wanted to attack on a security post in the Nadali district, they targeted by Afghan and NATO forces and arrested.

Tens kg of opium discovered in Ghoor

Ghoor (BNA) the security police of Ghoor province said that they discovered tens kg of narcotic from smugglers.  These narcotic have been discovered in a special operation of police in east of Cheghcheran city center of that province.  Mortaza Mosala in charge police of Ghoor said to BNA, this narcotic were being smuggle by smugglers to unspecified place and was seized.  According to him, the smuggler was fled from the area and 3 motorbikes of them were seized by police.

UAE Assists Mosques of Sar-i-Pul province

Sar-i-Pul (BNA) the United Arabic Emirate (UAE) assisted carpets with other equipments to mosques in Sar-i-Pul province.  These assistances were handed over by responsible of Arab embassy in Kabul to Ibrahim Sangar head of Hajj and Endowment of Sar-i-Pul province.  The head of Hajj and Endowment of Sar-i-Pul said to BNA, these carpets and equipments will be distributed to 16 mosques of Sar-i-Pul province.  He appreciated assistances of UAE and requested extension of these assistances in that province.  The responsible of UAE promised that, he will assist for other mosques in that province in future.

Kabul (BNA) the 101 police zone of Kabul has arrested ten persons on charges of criminal activities in Kabul city yesterday.  According to interior ministry press office, the arrested persons involved in smuggling of narcotic and rubbery in the vicinities of Kabul province which they were arrested by police personnel from 7th, 9th and 17th districts.  According to another report, the Afghan and coalition forces in last 24 hours conducted several operations in the surrounding of Kapisa, Kandahar,j Zabul, Khost and Paktika province, in which 2 Taliban rebels were killed 2 wounded and 9 of them were detained.

Terrorist event prevented in Helmand

Kabul (BNA)  the personnel police of Helmand security commandment have prevented a terrorist event in the vicinities of that province yesterday.  Interior ministry press office said to BNA, armed Taliban planted 4 anti0vehicle mines and heavy arms bullets in the outskirts of Kajaki district of Laghkarga city which was discovered and deuturalized by police.
