Deputy Director Of Provincial Council Dead

Maidan-Shaher (BNA) The deputy director of provincial council of Jaghto district of Maidan-Wardak province was killed by armed insurgents today. 
Shahidullah Shahid spokesperson for Maidan-Wardak governor said to BNA, Malam Azizullah deputy director of provincial council of Jaghto district was seriously injured by unknown armed persons.
While he was getting off the car came under gun fire and injured.
According to the source, Malam Azizullah dead while the local people shifting him to hospital.
Malam Azizullah was a tribe influential and commander of Mohaz-i-Mili.

Kandahar (BNA) The anti-narcotic police of Kandahar province seized more than 1000 Kg of opium and explosive materials from Panjwai district of that province. 
It is said that the mentioned materials consisting of 1200 Kg opium and 63 Kg of explosive materials were seized in an operation by the security forces. 
Gul Mohammad Shokran, head of the anti-narcotic of Kandahar said to this news agency, in this operation the anti narcotic police seized 4 gallons of narcotic and different types of mines.

14 Kids Released From Clutch Of Kidnappers

Kabul (BNA) In charges of Parwan province said that 14 children were released by national security personnel from clutch of kidnappers. 
The issue was said by Roshna Khalid spokesperson for Parwan governor in a press conference. 
According to BNA reporter from Charikar city, these children are 8 to 12 years old were released on Kabul-Pul-i-Khomri highways. 
According to Roshna Khalid, two national army personnel have been detained in connection of the case and are under investigation. 
The released children are from Kunduz and kidnapped to send Pakistan for getting terrorist training.
He said, according to him, in two last weeks, five persons have been detained by security forces on charges of destructive actions and smuggling of arms and narcotic in Parwan province. 
In this press conference, spokesperson for Parwan governor said in last week, these forces seized a PK machine-gun, a Kalashnikov, and 15 kg of explosive device which was due to smuggled to Kabul.

Armed Rebel Killed In Maidan-Wardak

Kabul (BNA) An armed rebel was killed in an operation by Afghan and coalition forces in Maidan-Wardak province this morning. 
BNA quoting from ISAF press release, in this combined operation, an armed rebel was killed in the vicinities of Maidan-Saher city center of that province. 
Another report says that, a local commander of Taliban was detained in combined operation of Afghan and Coalition forces in the vicinities of Ghazni province this morning. 
BNA quoting from ISAF press release, this operation was launched in the vicinities of that province in which a local commander of Taliban has been detained.

Kabul (BNA) The national army personnel in mopping up operation in some provinces of the country killed three insurgents and detained 13 others. 
The national defense ministry press office said to BNA, these operations carried out in the vicinities of Nangarhar, Laghman, Maidan-Wardak, Ghazni, Helmand, Khost and Kandahar provinces, in which three insurgents were killed and 13 others were detained. Also 6 Kalashnikovs and a grenade were seized by these forces. 
Tens of mines have been defused in these operations as well.  
According to another report, two rebels were killed and an active member of Al-qaeda network was detained in an operation by Afghan and coalition forces in the vicinities of Nangarhar province toady.

Kabul (BNA) Police of Kandahar province destroyed 50 jiribs of poppy lands. 
The lands cultivated poppy have been destroyed in an operation by national and anti-narcotic police in the vicinities of Arghandab district. 
According to press office of Kandahar, this operation will be continued for destruction of other poppy farms in Arghandab district. 
According to this report, from beginning of the current year up now, the Afghan forces destroyed 150 jiribs of poppy farms and detained tens of drug smugglers.

Kabul (BNA) The corner stone for Qauran middle school’s new building based in Guldara district of Herat province laid on Sunday by provincial governor and head of education for the province. 
The building is to be constructed in one floor by Bayat Foundation and will be completed in four months. 
The building is determined to have six classrooms, two administrative rooms and all necessary equipments. 
Currently, 670 girl students are busy in studying at the school and with completion of the new building, better learning facilities re to be provided.

Tens Deadly Explosions Prevented In Kandahar

Kabul (BNA) By spoiling nearly 20 roadside mines in Zheri district of Kandahar, Afghan security forces have prevented from deadly incidents in the province. 
The mines had been planted in key roads and streets of the district by armed Taliban insurgents. 
In a statement released by Kandahar police said the armed Taliban wanted to target convoys of Afghan and NATO forces in the district. 
The statement added nobody has sustained injures during the spoiling of mines. 
The armed Taliban have recently made use of roadside mines that mostly kill Afghan civilians.

Pakistani National Arrested In Laghman

Kabul (BNA) A Pakistani national was detained by police on Sunday in Laghman province. 
According to 202nd Shamshad regional zone, the individual had been sent to the province for carrying out terrorist acts but captured by police in Ali Khail village of the province.

Kabul (BNA) A total of 230 new graduates joint the Afghan National police (ANP) in Herat province with Herat city as its capital city of Kabul, a police official said.
As many as 230 newly trained policemen commissioned to the ANP on Wednesday and were deployed to six districts of Herat province to provide security for their countrymen.
Herat city was among seven areas where Afghan security forces took security responsibilities from NATO in July this year.
