Armed Insurgents Killed By ASF Clash

Sar-e-Pul (BNA) Four armed insurgents were killed in a conflict by afghan security forces in Sar-e-Pul province last night.
The insurgents were targeted in Kohistanat District highway.
ANA senior commander in Shaheen army corps in north of the country told BNA, four insurgents were killed.
The insurgents were suppressed while terrorist and destructive activities.

Taliban Terrorist Killed in Urozgan Clashes

Trenkot (BNA) Six Taliban terrorist group were killed in recent conflicts in Urozgan province last night.
The Taliban were targeted in their strongholds by security forces in Mullazai region, Trenkot city.
Security forces top commander said BNA, six Taliban were killed and three others have been injured in the conflicts.
The insurgents were targeted while terrorist actions.
Stronghold and weapons cache of the terrorist group were demolished in the conflicts.
Another report says, a series of blasts were prevented in Urozgan province.
Security officials discovered and defused six mines from crowded ways of Urozgan province and prevented from deadly events.
No one has been detained in the connection of the failed mine planting.

Kabul (BNA) In a meeting with MPs, advisors and residents of Kabul city held on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha the other day, the Second Vice-President Mohammad Sarwar Danesh said that direct negotiations with the Taliban will happen on Oct. 15 and after the elections, a statement from Second VP press office said BNA.
The statement quoted the Second VP as saying that the next political system in Afghanistan, the Constitution and government-related issues have not been discussed with the Taliban so far. “US Special Envoy and the Taliban have only talked about issues relevant to the two sides…The Afghan government is one side of the negotiations in other topics,” VP Danesh said. The Second Vice-President went on saying that peace deal with the Taliban should result in lasting stability in the country.
He also said that election is the top priority for Afghans. “People expect a peace that ends in dignity for the people of Afghanistan, enduring stability and security and maintaining of the freedoms and achievements of the past 18 years,” he added. The US and the Taliban negotiators wrapped up the eighth round of peace talks in Qatar. The two sides are expected to sign a peace agreement within the next few days which will facilitate intra-Afghan negotiations that probably take place in a European country’s capital within the next few weeks.

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with Ministry of Education’s National Melody Team at the Presidential Palace the other day, BNA reported. Congratulating advent of Eid-ul-Adha to the team members, the President said team was representing a united Afghanistan. “You deliver the message of peace, freedom, cohesion and the three colors of our flag,” the President told the ministry national melody team. The President instructed Ustad Waheed Qasemi to record the melodies of the team, so that to be played on different occasions. The President also said that the team’s budget should be considered from Ministry of Education and Administrative office of the President’s budgets. The President also instructed the team to record the national anthem so that to be played in different events of the presidential palace, President Ghani said.
The Ministry of Education’s deputy minister on educational curriculum briefed the President on National education’s melody festival, saying the team was established after a three-day festival among 800 students from all over the country. Later, Ustad Waheed Qasemi head of Afghanistan’s Radio Television Music Department thanked parents of those students that allowed their sons and daughters to attend the festival, saying freedom, culture, education and patriotism were the main subjects of the festival. At the end, the melody team performed the patriotic songs which were welcomed by the President.

Kabul (BNA) During air attacks carried out by Afghan air forces, Taliban militants were forced to flee from Qades and Aab Kamari districts of Badghis province.
Khan Jaan Zafar member of provincial council in Badghis told BNA correspondent, the air attacks launched on hideouts of Taliban fighters in Aab Kamari and Qades districts of the province, in which the fighters were forced to flee from the mentioned districts.
Taliban militants weakened in Badghis province and they are not able to face with Afghan security forces.
Badghis’ residents asked from government to conduct same attacks in neighbor provinces of Badghis to annihilate armed oppositions in the areas.

Kabul (BNA) Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Hasina Safi, congratulated Eid Al-Adha during a meeting to the ministry’s leadership and employees here yesterday, BNA reported.
Addressing the meeting at ministry’s press hall, minister Safi pointed to philosophy of Qurbani, saying she was happy that the Eid days passed with peace and calmness, the agency added.
She went on saying that representing the ministry, all the employees were supporters of the system, asking the ministry’s staffs to be a cultural pattern and example for others.
The minister said that everyone should make effort to attend the upcoming elections for strengthening of the system and support those working for development, peace and national solidarity, the agency quoted her as saying.

Kabul (BNA) Shahwali Marufi, an official at the Public Health Ministry, said that 2 people have died due to the disease.
According to him, 22 cases of Congo virus were registered during Eid al-Adha, the feast of animal slaughter.
The official blamed negligence while keeping and slaughtering animals for the rise in Congo diseases.  He said that people should wear gloves, mask and protective dress while slaughtering animals in order to avoid Congo virus. Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever is a viral disease and the virus is typically spread by tick bites of contact with livestock carrying the disease.

Kabul (BNA) The Afghan Film Directorate Saying that nearly 100 Afghan and Iranian movies were screened in a week-long Film Festival in Kabul.
To commemorate its 100th anniversary of Afghanistan independence, Ministry of Information and Culture’s Afghan Film Directorate organized a special film festival, showcasing 100 notable films of the Afghan cinema for ten days which was started from August 3rd.
“Parting” and “A Few Cubic Meters of Love” were two Afghan Iranian drama movies screened in the among other movie in the Afghan Film Festival.  According to officials, both films were selected as the Afghan entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards.

Kabul (BNA) Police personnel of Interior Ministry arrested eight people on charges collaborating with Taliban in Balkh, Nangarhar, and Kandahar provinces.
Nasrat Rahimi spokesman for Interior Ministry told BNA, the detainees have been arrested on charges providing weapons and ammunition to terrorist group and carrying out terrorist acts.
Two Kalashnikovs, a pistol and numerous of weapons were also seized from the detainees.
Another report says, the personnel of interior ministry launching a clearing operation in outskirt of Batikot District, Nangarhar province, killed two key associates of ISIS terrorist group with two Kalashnikovs, a pistol and weapons.

Insurgents Killed in Ghazni Clash

Kabul (BNA) The Thunder army corps personnel clashed with armed insurgents in Qarabagh District, Ghazni province, in which four armed insurgents were killed and five others have been injured.
Likewise, the security forces clashed with insurgents in Mang region, Moqor District Ghazni province, two Taliban insurgents were killed and two others have been wounded.
Also, as a result of coalition forces raid in Chek District, Maidan-Wardak province, a commander of Taliban with two other insurgents were injured.
On the other hand, the engineering team of Thunder 203 army corps discovered and defused a mine in outskirt of Gelan district, Ghazni province.
