Jalalabad City (BNA) At least one prayers was martyred and eight others were wounded after a bomb ripped through a mosque in eastern Nangarhar province today.
Atuallah Khogyani spokesman of Nangarhar’s provincial governor told BNA reporter, the incident took place inside a mosque in Mohmand Dara district of the province, when the worshippers were doing Friday prayer.
The injured were shifted to a Khani Khail district’s hospital.
It is mentionable that explosive materials placed in the mosque and donated, when worshippers were doing Friday prayer, the source added.
No group has commented regarding the incident so far.

Kabul (BNA) As many as 37 armed rebels were killed following joint clearing operations led by Afghan security troops within the last 24 hours across the country.
Ministry of National Defense press office stated BNA, the operations were conducted to ensure peace and stability and suppress armed oppositions in insecure areas of Nangarhar, Kunar, Paktia, Ghazni, Kandahar, Jawzjan, Faryab, Kunduz and Helmand provinces.
During the operations Shadow district governor of Taliban for Hesarak district of Nangarhar province was among the dead, the sources added.
Addition, 16 anti-government insurgents were wounded and six suspicious were arrested during the operations as well, the source concluded.

Kabul (BNA) With a cost of AFN 35,000,000 funded by Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/NSP) 32 welfare projects have been implemented in southern Kandahar province.
Habib Behzad in-charge of information in rural rehabilitation and development ministry said BNA correspondent, these development projects include providing of drinking water and transportation services has been executed by different programs of (MRRD) in various parts of Kandahar province.
By construction of the mentioned projects 16,000 families have been received environmental facilities.
According to another report, 16 development projects have been completed by Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in Herat province. 
The projects have been executed in different parts of Herat province, which over 2000 families benefiting from the projects.

Kabul (BNA) Six suspicious accused of criminal cases were arrested by counter-drug policemen in central Bamyan province.
Mohammad Reza director of press in police headquarters of Bamyan told BNA reporter, counter-drug policemen succeeded to detain six suspicious accused of sexual abuses and drinking alcoholic beverages from different parts of the province.
Few days ago also two military personnel have been arrested accused of sexual abuses by Afghan police personnel in the province.

Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan and Uzbekistan have signed an agreement to extend a railway between the two countries which could give Uzbekistan a strategic access to the Persian Gulf through Iran.
The agreement over the project – which would be within the framework of the Trans-Afghan Transport Corridor that has been in the pipeline for over 12 years – was signed in Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent on Thursday by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his Afghan counterpart Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
The plan is to construct a new railway with a total length of above 1,000 kilometers from Mazar-e-Sharif in Afghanistan’s northern province of Balkh and to the western city of Herat which is close to the border with Iran.
“The line would extend from Neyababad in Mazar-e-Sharif to Herat on one side and to Kunduz on the other,” Afghan media quoted Abdul Bari Seddiqi, the deputy head of Afghanistan’s railway administration as saying.
“Uzbekistan can be connected to the Afghan railway lines via this link,” Seddiqi added.
Uzbekistan signed an agreement with Iran and Afghanistan in 2005 to build an interstate north-south transport corridor which could connect the landlocked former Soviet republic to international waters.
The rail link from Mazar-e-Sharif to Herat is expected to provide a new regional trade route that could eventually connect five countries: China, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Iran.
In 2011, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan put into service a 75-kilometer rail link connecting Afghanistan’s border city of Hairatan to Mazar-e-Sharif. Uzbekistan Railways has constructed the line through an investment of $170 million.
Since then, Uzbekistan had expressed its interest to extend the rail link to Herat and a connection to Iran.
Currently, a rail link from Herat to Iran is being constructed, allowing traffic from Uzbekistan to the Iran’s Persian Gulf ports.

Kabul (BNA) At least 20 armed rebels were killed during a military operation conducted by Afghan Commando Forces in northern Kunduz province.
Ahmad Jawed Salim spokesman of Afghan Commando Forces said BNA local reporter, the operation was launched to annihilate armed oppositions and protect the lives and properties of people in relevant areas of Amam Sahib district of the province.
According to another report, Afghan National Army forces by carrying a military operation succeeded to discovered and defuse 7 round of anti-vehicle mines in relevant areas of Parwan and Kapisa provinces.

Kabul (BNA) Qari Qudratullah in-charge of Haqqani terrorist network and 30 other insurgents were killed during a counter-terrorism operation conducted by Afghan security troops in central Maidan/Wardak province late Thursday.
Press office of Maidan/Wardak with releasing a statement issued that, Afghan security forces by launching a counter-terrorism operation succeeded to annihilate about 100 militants until now and the operation ongoing in relevant areas of Narkh district of the province.
The statement confirmed the killing of Qari Qudratullah who was involved in dozens deadly terrorist incidents in various parts of the province.
It has been said, dozens villages have been cleared from existence of armed oppositions during the operation as well.
Military officials in Maidan/Wardak province say, the operation to be continued until Narkh district completely clean-up from being of anti-government militias.

Kabul (BNA) Over 400 war-affected families have been assisted by charity organization in eastern Nangarhar province.
The assistances provided by charity organizations and distributed by refugees and repatriation department of Nangarhar to the mentioned families.
Ghulam Haidar Faqirzai head of refugees and repatriation department in Nangarhar said BNA reporter, the families have been damaged due to war and placed in Jalalabad city the provincial capital of the province.

Kabul (BNA) About 19 fighters of Islamic State for Syria and Iraq (ISIS) terrorist group were killed following air attacks in eastern Nangarhar province last night.
The ISIS loyalists targeted and killed in Acheen, and Haska Mina districts of the province.
Ataullah Khogyani spokesman of Nangarhar governor told BNA reporter, 19 ISIS adherents killed during the raids.
The militants were busy on organizing a series of destructive and terrorist activities, which targeted and killed.
It has been said, there were zero casualties on the parts of civilians at the end of the attacks.
According to another report, Afghan security forces succeeded to discover and defuse 6 rounds of different type of mines from crowded areas of Nangarhar province.
Security officials in Nangarhar claimed that Taliban and ISIS terrorist groups are responsible for the failed mine plantings say, efforts underway to identify and capture the culprits of mine plantings.

Kabul (BNA) At least 8 people including two children lost their lives and over 12 others were wounded following suicide attack rocked eastern Nangarhar province yesterday afternoon.
A suicide attacker blew up his explosive device close to a tribal elder’s house in Jalalabad city the provincial capital of the province.
Provincial spokesman Ataullah Khogyani told BNA local correspondent, eight civilians including two children lost their lives and over 12 others were injured following the suicide attack.
Meanwhile, doctors in a health center in Jalalabad city called critical the health conditions of 3 injuries of the incident.
No individual or group has commented regarding the deadly attack so far, but security sources claimed that Taliban militants are responsible for the blast.
