Kabul (BNA) Making Red Crescent week is in-fact a tribute to the day in which a new chapter opened in the history of humanitarian aids while in most of the world countries this vital humanitarian organization is pursuing duty within the framework of humanism law and has always remained neutral while dealing with the situations.
Now, it would be appropriate to say that criterion of the Red Crescent society is its humanitarian services to the vulnerable segment of the society.
(Jamiat Hilal Ahmar Afghani) or Afghan red crescent society established in 14th century after Afghanistan came out of civil uncertainty and foreign invasions under the title of (Darul Aitam) (Orphanage) and since its formation, the humanitarian charity is carrying out its jobs in serving human community suffering from natural disasters and other social calamities same as war and violence and later the organization nominated as (first aid) charity during a national congress constitution people of Afghanistan from different ethnic background in 1308 led by its first chairman Ibrahim alongside his 19 colleagues within the formation of the NGO.
In 1311, the organization associated with the ministry of finance and later in 1330 during the Hague conference the NGO presented itself within the framework of a seventh article constitution as (Jamiat Hilal Ahmar Afghani) or (Afghan Red Crescent Society) and the seventh articles describe that the charity is a neutral, independent, free and is united NGO and later in 1333 the organization achieved membership of red cross.
Over the course of its history, Afghan red crescent society has conducted major humanitarian tasks for the people during natural disasters same as floods and earthquakes and volunteers of the association rescued people from dangers and provided preliminary aids to the affected people and its vital to mention that red cross has pursued major duties during the wars in treating the injured persons through its emergency humanitarian services.
Based on remarks of Afghanistan’ Red Crescent Society chairperson, Miss. Fatima Gilani, Afghan red crescent society is closely working with the rest of red cross of the world same as Italian, German, Sweden, Denmark and Iranian red crescent societies and all of these foundations cooperating to establish clinics, schools and 50% of the overall funds completed through lottery tickets of the foundation sold in the bazaar adding that the NGO is an independent charity and has no link to Govt. development and ordinary budget.
Currently, Afghanistan Red Crescent Society is undertaking major humanitarian tasks in providing relief programs, free medicines and training of the orphans.

Kabul (BNA) The International Standard Day was observed here yesterday.
Speaking on the occasion, Popalzai Popal the head of Directorate for National Standard, said that the body had established the High Council for Standard, approval of 150 national standard, approval of three code for national construction, beginning work for complex laboratory in center, developing relations with regional and international standard bodies and holding conferences.
The message of President Hamid Karzai was also readout by advisor minister Munshi Abdul Majid in the conference.
In part of the message, the president stated that local products cannot compete foreign goods at regional and international market, calling on standard activities including government entities, private sector and academics to work closely with the national standard directorate and ensure implementation of standard at all level.
Mutasil Komaki the deputy to ministry for commerce and industries, Dr. Mujiburahman Khatir and Mohammad Qurban Haqjo the head of chamber for commerce and industries also spoke on the occasion at the conference.

Kabul (BNA) Three Afghan women obtained UN peace prize. 
BNA reporter reported from Kabul International Airport, Zahra Naderi, Ms. Kakar and Ms. Amena who worked towards human rights, women rights and mass-media obtained UN peace prize among the six south Asia countries.
They received their prizes during a special ceremony which was held in Manila center of Philippine.    
Zahra Naderi member of Wolisi Jirga in her return to Kabul Airport said to BNA reporter, these prizes belonged to all women of Afghanistan which every woman inconvenienced in this country and their work appreciated by International Society and she congratulated these prides to Afghan women.

Kabul (BNA) The scientific, research conference on the role of lofty Islamic teaching in reduction of violence against the women held in Kabul the other day.
The conference seeks the motives of violence against the women.
The conference was attended by minister of women affairs, minister of Hajj and Endowment, deputy minister of information and culture, deputy head of the supreme court, some representatives of the people at the House of People, government employees and religious ulema.
First, the message of President Hamid Karzai was read out on role of women in the society and reduction of violence against them.
The message said that the government of Afghanistan in the light of the Islam religion is committed towards ensuring the rights of women and in the past ten years has taken steps in this direction, and despite this still violence against prevails in the country and it is not tolerable.
The president message adds that “I am happy that the ministry of women affairs has initiated this seminar to find out the motives behind the violence against women so that our women are relived form violence.
Dr. Hosson Banu Ghasanfar Minister of Public Health said at the seminar that women throughout the country are facing violence including forced marriages, disallowed to receive education, exchange with animals and varying types of tortures and unaccepted traditions, low level of awareness and cultural limitations which are used as a means for suppressing them.
She added that the ministry of women affairs in the light of decrees no 45 of the president of the country in order to reduce the level of violence has created violence braches for preventing of violence in the center and provinces and has invited the ulema so that through publicity at the mosques play their role in betterment of the role of women in their areas.
