Kabul (BNA) The Salang highway reopened on traffic after 24 hours. 
The Salang highway which connects Kabul to Northern provinces of the country was closed due to heavy avalanche, storm and rains on traffic Friday night. 
General Rajab head of Salangha preservation department said to BNA, their staffs managed to reopen this highway after avalanches and heavy storm to the traffic. 
According to Rajab, currently traffic is open for cars in this highway. 
To control traffic accidents in Salangha highway, General Rajab requested drivers to equip their vehicles with winter equipments.  Translated by Suraya-Yarzada

Kabul (BNA) Gen. Besmellah Mohammadi, Minister of Interior Affairs in a meeting with personnel taking active part in cleaning the city streets from the obstacles said that with your assistance and cooperation we achieved immense work towards clearing the obstacles and cleaning the city from the obstacles. 
He added that the second phase of work will cover better organizing of the concrete slabs within the city and we shall strive seriously to achieve this aim so we can clean our city. 
He asked the police personnel to behave in good manner with the people during the clearing of the city. 
He also appreciated those who had taken very active part in the cleaning process including the heads of the Municipality precincts and police zones. 
The meeting was attended deputy ministers, generals, Kabul Mayor and its leading body, heads of Municipality precincts, deputy head of independent environment protection department and commanders of 101 police zone.

Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai strongly condemned terrorist attack in Trinkot, the capital city of Urozgan province in which six children along with an elderly were killed and four other wounded. 
The bomb had been placed in a garbage container sited in the city roadside a result of the huge blast, a number of children had been killed and wounded. 
Condemning in the strongest term, president Karzai called the action the symbol of the enemy’s meanness and added that they would never reach their ominous design by killing the innocent children, and receive nothing except flagrancy and scandal in the two worlds. 
He also expressed his deep condolence to the bereaved families of the martyred children and wished immediate recovery for the wounded.

Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai attended a ceremony held in the Eidgah on the death praying for a northern Takhar province representative, Abdul Mutalleb Biag who had been killed in a deadly suicide bombing recently, his office said. 
According to the presidential press office, the praying ceremony which was held in the Eidgah mosque, President Hamid, Speaker of the House of people, Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi, a number of cabinet and national assembly members, political, scientific and cultural figures, a number of high ranking officials of the ministry of defense and some late Mutalib Baig’s family members and friends had attended. 
The president once again prayed for the soul of the late Mutalib Baig and expressed his deep condolence to the bereaved families. 
Abdul Mutalib Baig, a Takhar representative at the house of people had been killed along with other ten people in a suicide attacks in December 25 during a funeral ceremony of an elder in Takhar province.
