Jalalabad (BNA) A high-ranking official delegation from Kabul has arrived in eastern Nangarhar province to try to broker a peace agreement between two warring tribes. 
Led by Assadullah Wafa, the complaint office head at the presidential palace, the delegation included Maulvi Arsala Rahmani, Haji Naeem Koshai, Maulavi Shahzada, Dr. Akram Khpalwak and Qayum Karzai, the Nangarhar governor’s spokesman, Ahmad Zia Abdulzai said. 
He said the delegation would make efforts at seeking a permanent solution to the dispute between the two rival tribes Alishir Khel and Sepai. 
The conflict over a land dispute in the Achin and Spinghar districts had claimed several lives, forcing the authorities to launch a military operation against the two tribes. 
Many people were killed and wounded in the operation. 
Wafa promised staying in Nangarhar until the dispute was resolved. 
A tribal elder from Sepai tribe, Mohammad Osman, said they would share their part of the story with the visiting delegation of the two-year long conflict. 
He said they had high expectations from the body. “We have heard about the arrival of a government delegation, which will be meeting us”, said, Mullah Jan Shinwari, an elder of the Alisher Khel tribe. 
Shinwari said the delegation would be able to find an acceptable solution to the dispute.

Kabul (BNA) Two people who had lost part of their bodies in a Taliban mine blast received cash assistance provided by President Hamid Karzai. 
The assistance reaching to 50,000 Afs was given by deputy governor of Paktia to the disabled. 
While distributing the cash, Abdul Rahman, deputy governor of Paktia wished the disabled success. 
The individuals have lost parts of their bodies in two separate mine incidents in the province.

Kabul (BNA) With deep sorrow, I was informed that an officer of ANA General Abdul Majid Ilyasi has passed away due to illness. 
Abdul Majid Alyasi was one of the servants of armed forces of the country. 
His death is a big loss. I offer my condolences and sympathies to his family, friends and people of Faryab and wish him pardon and patience to his family.

Kabul (BNA) With construction of a road Nooristan will be connected with Laghman province soon, said Nooristan officials. 
They said that work for construction of a road which links western areas and central of Nooristan, started with cooperation of hundreds residents of Nooristan districts and these roads will be constructed within two months. 
Tamim Nooristani governor of Nooristan said to BNA, ensuring peace for people who work voluntarily for construction of road is the priorities and for this purpose, security posts were established in different areas.
Governor of Nooristan said , currently 1500 youths from districts  of that province started voluntarily work for construction of roads in the Damah, Taten, Kordro and Noorgeram areas of that province to link western districts with Pasroon city, center of Nooristan province.
