Kabul (BNA) The minister for work and social affairs Amina Afzali said yesterday that condition is not conducive to educate children and 6 million children in Afghanistan are at risk.
In her remark to observe the World Children day, she said the number of street children is high and still children are working hard on the streets to support their families.
Meantime, she noted that paying attention to the children and educating children is important of the better future of the country.
The Deputy to the ministry, Wasil Noor Mohamand in his speech said that the ministry would spare no efforts in protecting the street children and aid agencies have so far covered around 3 million children in the country.
According to Mohamand, there are 37000 street children in Kabul.
Parliamentarians Fauzia Kufi and Anar Kili Hunaryar also spoke on the occasion.
