Kabul (BNA) Food items were distributed among the needy and destitute families in Ahmad Shah Baba area yesterday.
The humanitarian assistance which includes rice, sugar, date, bean and cooking oil was provided by the relief agency Muslim Aid and each family was given item worth 2000 Afghanis and some 250 families benefited from the assistance, Mohammad Yusuf Rateb an official with the aid agency said.
Similar assistance will be given to destitute families in Kartai Parwan area, he added.
The Muslim Aid has been assisting Afghans in the fields of health and education since 2002, Rateb added.
