Khalili Calls On Mourners To Donate Blood

Kabul (BNA) The second vice president Mohammad Karim Khalili had called on the mourners of Ashura to donate blood and thus demonstrate their love to the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
According to the press department of Presidential Palace, the vice president besides paying tribute to the martyrs of Karbala and the objective of Ashura movement, had also donated blood and thanked the president and people for donating blood to Imam Hussain blood Bank.
The vice president, in a ceremony held in his residence had also urged the Ashura mourners and Muslims of the country to donate blood instead of flagging and shedding bloods.
The minister for public health Dr. Saraya Dalil also spoke on the occasion and in her speech stated that the blood donated today will be infused to patients including needy mothers and children.
Later, the vice president also attended the mourners’ ceremony in west of Kabul and highlighted various dimensions of Ashura, pointing out that the Ashura uprising is an example to our individual and social life and follow it.
Hinting at the national unity and solidarity among the people of Afghanistan, the vice president noted that fortunately the people of Afghanistan both the Shitt and Sunnit observer the day of Ashura unanimously.
In his speech, the vice president also thanked the security organs for putting necessary security measures on place during Ashura.
He also thanked the mourners of Ashura and the people for their cooperation with the security organs during Ashura.
