Kabul (BNA) At many as 120 anti-government militias were killed during separate clearing operations led by Afghan National Defense and Security Forces within the last 24 hours in different parts of the country.
The operations were conducted by support of Afghan air and artillery forces to suppress terrorists in various parts of Nangarhar, Laghman, Kapisa, Khost, Logar, Paktia, Kandahar, Zabul, Urozgan, Herat, Balkh and Helmand provinces, press office for ministry of national defense reported BNA.
In addition, 87 armed oppositions were wounded and some heavy and light weapons belonging the terrorists have been seized during the operations too, the source added.

Destitute Families Receive Aids In Balkh

Mazar-e-Sharif City (BNA) Foodstuffs and non-foodstuffs have been distributed to 100 needy families in northern Balkh province yesterday.
According to BNA report, a commander in 209 Shaheen army corps while distributing the aids said, security personnel of the corps in addition to fight against armed oppositions, also helps with poor families.
The families due to insecurity in Faryab, Jawzjan and Sar-e-Pul provinces were forced to leave their houses and replaced in Mazar-e-Sharif city the provincial capital of Balkh province, Qasem added.
Assistances of 209 Shaheen army corps with needy and displaced families will be continued in northern of the country.

Kabul (BNA) Qamaruddin Shakeb deputy governor for Logar province was martyred due to Taliban ambush today.
The incident took place, Shakeb’s car faced with Taliban ambush in Waghjan village, Mohammad Agha district, Kabul-Gardiz highway.
Also two bodyguards of the deputy governor were martyred in the event.
A security source confirmed the martyrdom of Qamaruddin Shakeb told BNA correspondent, Haqiq Rahman head of appeal court and Salim Saleh spokesman of Logar governor, while accompanying Shakeb were injured.
ISIS terrorist group nor Taliban has commented regarding the incident so far, but security officials claimed that Taliban militants are responsible for the event.
Qamaruddin Shakeb was senior member of Wahdat-e-Islami Party and early had worked as deputy governor in Badghis and Sar-e-Pul provinces.

Kabul (BNA) Abdul Manan Arghand a local reporter was martyred by unidentified gunmen in southern Kandahar province on Wednesday.
Arghand have targeted by unknown gunmen in Kandahar city, who worked as local reporter for Kabul News TV in Kandahar province.
The local reporter was assassinated, when he was moving toward his job.
A security source in Kadanahar told BNA reporter, the shooters succeeded to flee from the area and efforts has started to identify and capture the perpetrators of the incident.
No individual or group has commented regarding the assassination so far.
Since five years, Abdul Manan Arghand worked as local reporter for Kabul News TV and other media in Kandahar.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and Mohammad Rasoul Bawari acting minister of information and culture condemned the martyrdom of the journalist, expressed their condolences with Arghand’ family.
According to released figure, within the last 17 years after collapse of Taliban regime, 80 journalists lost their lives across the country.

Kabul (BNA) At least 26 loyalists of ISIS terrorist group were killed by Afghan Special Forces in vicinity of eastern Nangarhar province last night.
The terrorists have been targeted and killed in various parts of Acheen, Roaudat, Heska Mina and Koot districts of the province.
Senior commander of Afghan National Army in the east of the country told BNA correspondent, air and ground raids carried out by Afghan Special Forces in different parts of the mentioned districts, in which 26 ISIS adherents were killed and their several hideouts along with military equipment have been destroyed.
According to another report, Afghan security forces by discovering and confiscating 4 round of different type of mines succeeded to prevent from a series of blast incidents in Nangarhar province.
Also during this period, a weapon storage belonging terrorist group have been seized by Afghan security troops in relevant areas of Jalalabad city the provincial capital of the province.
Several heavy and light weapons have been seized from the weapon storage.
Local officials in the province claimed that ISIS members used the weapon storage in terrorist and destructive activities.

Kabul (BNA) Hundreds acres of lands have been cleared from poppy cultivation in eastern Nangarhar province.
The poppy cultivated farms eradicated in relevant areas of Heska Mina, Acheen, Koot and Roaudat districts of the province.
Ataullah Khogyani provincial spokesman for Nangarhar told BNA reporter, within the last 24 hours more than 2000 jeribs of lands have been clean-up from poppy cultivation.
Local officials from departments of agriculture, irrigation and livestock and counter-narcotic drug are cooperating with Afghan security forces in this campaign.

MoD: 67 Insurgents Annihilated, 26 Injured

Kabul (BNA) At least 67 anti-government militias were killed and 26 others were wounded during joint military operations conducted by Afghan security forces within the last 24 hours across the country.
Ministry of Defense (MoD) press office stated BNA, the operations were launched by support of Afghan air and artillery forces to suppress armed oppositions and ensure peace and stability in insecure areas of Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman, Kapisa, Khost, Logar, Paktia, Kandahar, Zabul, Urozgan, Herat, Balkh, Kunduz, Baghlan and Helmand provinces.

Kabul (BNA) A senior commander of ISIS terrorist group was killed by NATO drone in eastern Kunar province last night.
Yahia the ISIS commander along with his 4 guards were killed in Shaltan district, Kunar province.
Commander of Afghan National Army in the east of the country told BNA reporter, Yahia and his 4 bodyguards were killed following the NATO drone attack.
The top commander of ISIS had plan to organize a series of terrorist activities in relevant areas of Kunar province.
A hideout of ISIS terrorist group have been destroyed in the raid.

Taliban Fighters Sustained Heavy Fatalities

Kabul (BNA) Afghan air forces by launching air raids succeeded to suppress dozens armed oppositions in western Farah province.
A senior commander in the west of the country told BNA correspondent, the air attacks targeted terrorists’ hideouts in Bakwa and Bala Block districts and Farah city, in which 20 rebels were killed.
According to reports, several hideouts of Taliban militants along with its military equipment have been destroyed during the air attacks.

Kabul (BNA) Seven members of ISIS and Taliban militants by understanding trugh have joined peace process in eastern Nooristan province.
The joined rebels pledged, after that we will take part in ensuring security and reconstruction of Afghanistan.
The joined militants are five Taliban members and two ISIS loyalists, which before that were involved on terrorist and destructive activities in Waant Waigal district of Nooristan.
A senior commander of Afghan National Army in the east of the country told BNA reporter, the insurgents also submitted their hand weapons to Afghan security forces.
