Mine blast kills 2, wounds 3

Cheghcheran (BNA) two passengers of a small buss were martyred and 11 others wounded in explosion of a mine in Doulena district of Ghoor province.
Colonel Habibullah police chief of Doulena district said BNA, the blast occurred yesterday evening in the Barkhon area, of the district, when a passenger bus hit a roadside mine.
Qadeer Arefi Doctor of provincial hospital of Ghoor said, the injured were taken in medical center of Doulena district and the health condition of 4 wounded are critical.

72 armed Taliban killed

Kabul (BNA) during a joint cleansing operation carried out by Afghan and international forces during past 24 hours 72 Taliban rebels killed.
Interior ministry press office reported BNA, these operations were launched in relevant areas of Badakhshan, Balkh, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Paktika, Paktia, Herat and Ghor provinces in close cooperation of national army, national security, and coalition forces, in which 72 armed Taliban killed, two injured and 8 others arrested.
The operations were launched because of the cleaning of the area from existence of armed rebels.
In these operations amount of heavy and light weapons captured.
Also national police personal discovered and defused two mines from relevant areas of Laghman province.
These mines were earlier planted by Taliban rebels for terrorist and destructive activities.
According to another report, the personnel of national police of Kabul police arrested two people accused of stealing from relevant areas of 15 precincts, and the investigation is under way.

Four national army soldiers injured

Kabul (BNA) in an explosion of the road side mine four national army soldiers wounded in Zabul province yesterday.
The Defense ministry spokesperson press office reported BNA, the incident occurred yesterday.
Governor District of Arghandab of Zabul province said, four national army troops wounded in the incident and their health status is improving.

Kabul (BNA) The National Football Team went to Tajikistan.
The publication chief of football federation Murtaza Danish Said BNA, National Football team of the country will compete in Tajikistan with national football team of that country.
According to him, the result of the competition is involved in FIFA rankings.
The football of Afghanistan is placed in the 141 FIFA rank.
He said, in the trip 18 athletes’ member of the national football team will be accompanied by two coaches, and the contest will be held on Tuesday.

24 armed Taliban killed

Kabul (BNA) 24 armed Taliban militant were killed in Wardooj district of Badakhshan province by security forces yesterday.
Dawlat Mohammad Khawar governor district of Wardooj district, Bakhashan province  confirming the report said BNA, cleansing operations were launched by Afghan security forces in relevant areas of Zoor, Ghachan, Wahooch villages, of Wardooj district, as a result of which 24 armed militants killed and 16 others wounded.
He added, in these operations a national army soldier and three public order police martyred.
According to him, the armed Taliban carried the bodies of deaths and injured people.
He said that the situation is relaxed.

Six insurgents killed

Kabul (BNA): as a result of joint operations carried out by NATO and Afghan security forces six armed Taliban were killed in Logar province last night.
Deen Mohammad Darwish spokesman of Logar governor told BNA, six armed Taliban were killed as a result of Afghan and NATO joint operation in Lashkari Khail and Dahnaw villages, Mohammad Agha district.
The source added, during the operations a PK, a RPG rocket seized and seven insurgents were arrested.
He added the dead bodies have been remained on battlefield and there were no casualties among security forces.

Five armed oppositions arrested

Kabul (BNA): five armed oppositions including a commander were arrested by national army during their military tasks.
Defense Ministry spokesman told BNA, the captured people involved in delivery of ammunition and weapons to oppositions, designing plans for attacking security forces and disturbing people on highways were arrested by national army in Kandahar, Helmand and Nangarhar provinces.
It has been said some heavy and light weapons were seized from them.
Also during the operation 32 anti-vehicles mines discover and defused.

Mazar-e-Sharif (BNA): The reconstruction work of Khanaqai Kalan (shrine) in Dehdadi district of Balkh province began yesterday.
In his address on the occasion, the head of information and culture department of Balkh province Salih Mohammad Khaliq said that the reconstruction of monument dates back to 13th century would cost 95000 Euros and funded by Germany and Agha Khan Foundation.
The work for the reconstruction of Nogunbad Mosque, Khawaja Abu Nasrparsa shrine, recreation park of Balkh in Balkh district, the tombs of Amir Shir Ali Khan and Amir Wazir Akbar Khan is also going on, he added.

ICRC condemns attack on its office

Jalalabad (BNA): The ICRC has strongly condemned the attack of Taliban on its office in Jalalabad and demanded the early arrest and punishment of those behind the heinous crime.

A group of armed Taliban militants stormed the office of ICRC in Jalalabad on Wednesday during which, the head of the office, Peter was also injured and a guard was killed.

The deputy to Nangarhar police chief Mohammad Masoom Hashimi in talks with BNA that six terrorists stormed the building, adding first one of the terrorists blew himself up enabling the five others to enter the compound.

In the clash which lasted for two hours, all the six terrorists were killed, Police spokesman of Nangarhar, Hazrat Hussian Mushriqwal said.

Kabul (BNA): We were informed with regret that Shafiqullah Muhsen s/o Wares Khan, secretary of Chairman of Senate has been attacked and martyred by the enemies of the people at Chaparhar district of Nangarhar province.
Shafiqullah Muhsen has been a battle front colleague of Fazel Hadi Muslimyar, Senate Chairman and for the past two years he served as his secretary.
The Presidential Office conveys its sympathies to the bereaved family and Muslim nation of Afghanistan and asks patience for the family members.
