Kabul (BNA): President Karzai has received a message from President Obama congratulating him on the 94th independence anniversary of Afghanistan.
The message notes that representing the people of USA, I am conveying my sincerest congratulations to the government and the people of Afghanistan on the 94th independence anniversary of Afghanistan and Eid-ul-Fitr.
Obama stressed that I am pleased to support the people of Afghanistan towards creation of a peaceful future, secure, prosperous and democratic order especially during the current year that the security forces of Afghanistan are taking over the responsibility of security of the country.
He stressed further that I witness attractive progress throughout Afghanistan in different spheres including health, education, women rights and trade.
Afghanistan makes a better future for the future generations and I am sure that friendship between our nations will continue.
While you are celebrating your independence the people of USA are on your side and we want massive cooperation with you in the coming years.

Ten Insurgents Kill

Kabul (BNA) ten insurgents were killed in Laghman province last night.
The insurgents were killed in an operation launched by Afghan security forces under the code name of (Zolfaqar Haft) in Hakimabad, Katasang and Gularam areas of Alinegar district, Laghman province.
In the operation, three insurgents were wounded and four others arrested.
Sarhadi Zwak, spokesman for the  governor of Laghman said, the operation started yesterday morning for cleaning of the district from the presence of insurgents, and three insurgents were killed.
Zwak said the operation will continue until the complete eradication of insurgents from the area.
He said, a PK machine gun, a rocket launcher and  three Kalashnikovs were seized and seven motorbikes of the enemies were destroyed.

Suicide Attack Martyrs Four Civilians

Pul-e-Alam (BNA) four civilians were martyred and nine others wounded in a suicide attack in Logar province yesterday.
According to the reports, a local police commander was also among the wounded.
The incident occurred in Chouk-e- Shaheedan, Pul-e-Alam city, capital of Logar province by a suicide bomber through his improvised explosive device.
Deen Mohammad Darweesh, spokesman of the governor of Logar said, in this attack, three civilians and a policeman lost their lives.
Darweesh said, seven civilians and two soldiers including Sabz Ali a local police commander and two children were wounded in the attack.
The aim of the attack was killing   commander Sabz Ali so the suicide bomber riding on a bicycle exploded his improvised explosive device near the convoy of this commander.
Meanwhile Dr. Zareef, head of public health department of Logar province reported the health condition of the wounded critical.
The local authorities of Logar province blamed the Taliban for the attack and said the security officials have started investigation for identifying and arresting of perpetrators of the incident.

Kabul (BNA): Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen, Minister of Information and Culture extended felicitation over the victory of Afghanistan National Football Team against Pakistan football team in a friendship match to National Olympic Committee, the youth and athletes of the country.
The Minister of Information and Culture told BNA, “Sport plays a vital role in bringing nations together and  athletes are the real messengers of peace, affection, friendship and brotherhood, adding holding this friendship match in Kabul was important because Kabul is hosting two teams of the two Muslim countries after years long”.
According to Raheen, result of the match has shown that juvenile of sports in the country are maturing.

Kabul (BNA): A training workshop titled “Capacity building of employees of National Museum” was held with the financial assistance of  ICESCO.
At the beginning of the workshop, Sayed Musadiq Khalili, Cultural Deputy Ministry of Information and Culture talking on the issue said, “The workshop which has been held for capacity building of employees of national museum, various ways of using sections of museum in particular using of new technology and familiarizing with new standards will be discussed.”
Meanwhile, Khalili appreciated ICESCO for its cooperation related to selecting of Ghazni city as Islamic Cultural Center and detailed the participants related to holding of Ghazni festival.
Considering the workshop as useful for enhancement of capacity of the museum’s employees, Khalili said, “Next week a program titled “Open Discussion” to be held in Ghazni province where experts and knowledgeable figures will discuss issues on Ghazni ancient culture, history and civilization as a whole.

Kabul (BNA): The awareness program about the dangers of illegal migrations of children and the youth started in Kabul.
The program has been organized by the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled with the cooperation of UNICEF, International Migration Organization, the Ministries of Information and Culture, Justice and Refugees and Repatriates for a three month period.
Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled spoke on the repercussion of smuggling of children and teenagers saying that this has become a common practice in our country and it is a tragedy for the youth of the country.
He called the aim of this program, giving awareness to the families in center and provinces through publishing of awareness sheets through the media and through the Imams of mosques and influential individuals.
The Deputy Minister of Refugees and Repatriates said that the number of migrations is on increase and this largely emanates from non-coordination among the national and international organizations that are not preparing the ground for legal migrations so illegal migrations cases are increasing which are dangerous for migrants specially children.
He said the new proposal of the ministry aiming to simplify the procedure for legal migrations and sound management of the procedure will settle the problem and to end all challenges in that regard.
The representative of UNICEF that cooperated and launching the program also talked on the issue. The program cost 300,000 dollars.

Second Vice President Leaves for India

Kabul (BNA): Second vice president leading a high-ranking delegation left Kabul for New-Delhi to hold talks with Indian officials.
During his stay in New Delhi, Mohammad Karim Khalili, Second vice President is to meet with President, Vice President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of India and will talk with them about further strengthening relations between the two countries in political, economic and business fields.
The Second Vice President will also meet with traders and investors of the Indian private sector and will hold talks related to foreign investment opportunities in Afghanistan.
On this trip, Khalili is accompanying by the  Ministers of Economy, Higher Education, ANA chief of staff and a number of other Afghan officials.

Taliban Commander Arrests

Kandahar (BNA): an Insurgent commander along with his eleven persons arrested in Panjwaie district of Kandahar province yesterday.
Defense Ministry’s spokesperson office told BNA, as a result of National army’s cleansing operation launched in Panjwaie district of Kandahar province, Abdul Satar a famous commander of the Taliban who has active rule in distribution of weapons and ammunitions to insurgents, planning of terrorist attacks on military and levy from people arrested along with his eleven persons, some weapons and ammunitions and advertising papers.

Lashkargah (BNA): National Security Directorate’s officials arrested four persons accused of terrorist activities in Helmand province.
National Security Directorate department’s press office told BNA, NSD officials in a special operation arrested four persons accused of terrorist activities and seized a Kalashnikov and some equipment in this operation.
The arrested persons confessed their terrorist activities and planting of mines in that province.
According to another report, the officials in an another operation discovered a terrorist hideout belonging to Qari Mohabullah well-known Asad, a military responsible of the Taliban and so called governor of Garashk in Naher-e- Saraj district of Helmand province.
A large number of weapons and military ammunitions were seized from the hide out.
