Kabul (BNA) The national Olympic committee has decided to give one million Afghanis as prize to any Afghan athletes who wins medal at London Games, officials with the national Olympic committee have said.
The aid of the award, according to the officials is to encourage the athletes and the medals winners will also be encouraged by national traders and sport fans.

Kabul (BNA) The Afghan National Cricket Team will go to United Arabic Emirate (UAE).
According to BNA, this team included 25 athletes, will go to UAE for a series of exercises for competitions which due to be held in August 25 of the current year in Australia. 
Hamid Shinwari head of executive board of Afghan cricket board said to BNA, after two weeks exercises, 15 players will select for world competitions and this team will carry out other contest with Sire-Lanka team in September of 2012.  
Also, the team under 19 years old of the country currently is in Australia for exercise in a contest with Australia team managed to beat Australia team. 
According to Shenwari the team under 19 years will contest with Pakistan, Scotland and New-Zeeland teams and before the world competitions, they will have 2 contests with India as well.

Kabul (BNA) The legendary boxer, Mohammad Ali Kuli and football star David Bakam have praised Afghan refugee Matiullah Haider, 19 at the sideline of London Olympic Games the other day in London. 
Haider who have lost some of his family members in Afghan wars and used to live in London has been serving as coach and interpreter for Afghan refugees there.

Kabul (BNA) The athletes of Afghanistan arrived London to participate in the Olympic competitions.
The caravan consisted of six athletes in Taekwondo, Running, Boxing and Judo fields.
Four other athletes including a woman representative in running field arrived in London some weeks ago for practices.
BNA quoting from Mohammad Zaher Aghber head of National Olympic Committee said, these athletes before starting Olympic Games, perform practices in the stadiums which were localized for them earlier.
In these events, Nesaar Ahmad Bahwee and Rohullah Nikpa Afghanistan’s taekwondo players are included.
Also Tahmina Kohistani is the only female athlete of Afghanistan in running field in these competitions.
Head of NOC said, the Afghan athletes having completing readiness for London competitions.
He hoped that the Afghan sportsmen bring medals like other competitions from London as well.
Ajmal Fazi in Judo field, Ajmal Faisal in boxing field and Masoud Azizi in running field are accompanying this caravan in London competitions.
The London Olympic events will start on July 27, 2012 and will end on August 12, 2012.
