Kabul (BNA) Delegation of authority from the then Islamic State of Afghanistan to the Interim Government took place after making a constructive national decision in Jadi first 1380 (Afghan calendar) which laid a concrete bass for ensuring democracy in the country.
BNA political analyst writes:
Eleven years ago, the Afghan political leaders after the collapse of notorious regime of Taliban in meeting in Bonn, Germany voted on consensus on establishment of Interim Government under the leadership of Mr. Hamid Karzai.
This historical event occurred while the resistance forced practically held control over Kabul and other major cities of the country. It was a fear that their pressure for preserving military powers and political discrepancies once again might lead the country towered inner fighting and instabilities.
Fortunately, due to the realism of the leadership of the then Islamic State of Afghanistan and their providence and honesty as it expected the interim government established. As a result paved the way for democracy and the program of handing over security problems to interim government further strengthened the process of the newly established democracy.
We can call the First of Jadi 1380 as a historical day in the country because previously political disputes had fatal consequences on our people and country.
The Afghan people express their gratitude for those, who with taking wisely measures prevented the flames of rivalry and hatred engulf our country. Their devotion for democracy and national co- existence provided the ground for Afghans to successfully conduct several elections both parliamentary and presidential   during the last 11 years and provided the opportunity for people to exercise their rights.  As believing in democracy President Karzai as a founder of democracy confirming the process said, that presidential elections would be held as it had been scheduled and won’t be ready to stay in power for a moment after termination of his term of office.
