Kabul (BNA) Agreement on Ferdous city construction road of Mazari-e-Sharif was signed today. 
This road has 15 km length and continued from Chouk Ferdous to Kabul bank of Mazar-e-Sharif city and will be constructed from development budget of public work ministry. 
According to BNA, the agreement of this project was signed by Mohammad Akbar Barekzai deputy ministry of public work ministry with head of Ilyas Wais constructional company. 
The total cost of this project is Afs 297 million. In charges of public work ministry said that this project will be completed within next one year.   Translated by Suraya-Yarzada

Deserved Families Received Assistance In Bagram

Charikar (BNA) Winter assistance distributed for 348 deserved families in Barekab Township, Bagram district of Parwan province today. 
Aqa Shirin head of returnees and refuges of Parwan said to BNA, the assistance consist of blanket, winter clothes, shoes, water galloons, soap and other necessary facilities which provided by IOM institution with cooperation of returnees and refugees affairs Dept. 
In distribution program of the assistance, Shah Wali Shahid governor of Parwan was present.

Taliban Secret Hospital Discovered In Takhar

Taleqan (BNA) A secret hospital of Taliban was discovered by Afghan and foreign forces in Takhar province. 
Colonel Khair Mohammad Temor, police chief of Takhar said to BNA, this hospital was discovered in an operation conducted three days back by national police, national army and foreign forces in different areas of Ashmakash district. 
According to him, in this hospital Al-qaeda members and other foreign nations who fight against state forces were treated. 
All equipments of this hospital were seized by state forces and approximately, 30 villages were cleaned from presence of Taliban and two weapons were seized by these forces. 
Abdul Khalil responsible of security commandment press office of that province said that this operation carried out successfully and concluded within four days and armed Taliban escaped to the valleys and mountains. 
The source said, people in the area promised to not allow the armed insurgents in their areas anymore and will cooperate with the state forces in ensuring security.

Kabul (BNA) An armed Taliban was killed and five others detained in Kapisa province today. 
Colonel Asadullah Hamidi head of Kapisa security commandment said to BNA, combined operation of Afghan and foreign forces conducted in the Pechaghan village of Nejrab district, in which an armed Taliban was killed and five others with their arms were detained.

Medical Clinic Inaugurated In Parwan

Charikar (BNA) A new building for medical clinic was came under utilization in Shinwari district of Parwan province today. 
Saifullah Bedar, governor of Shinwari district of Parwan province said to BNA, this clinic has been constructed from the assistance of Japan embassy in Ashtar village of that district at the cost of more than $ 150,000.
It is said that this building has 10 rooms and other facilities. 
A function was held for this purpose, Dr. Khalil Mosadiq deputy of the public health Dept. of Parwan province said, this clinic was equipped by public health Dept. of Parwan and provides medical services for more than 20,000 residents of this district. 
In this ceremony, residents of that area expressed pleasure from opening of this clinic and currently problems of them will be solved from medical facilities.

27 Killed, Wounded In Kandahar

Kabul (BNA) At least eight were killed and 18 other wounded in two consecutive roadside mining and suicide bombing near Sardar Madad Khan cross in the southern province of Kandahar, an official said. 
Spokesman for the Kandahar governor, Zalmai Ayobi said that eight people including three policemen had been killed and eighteen other injured as firstly a roadside mine was blown up and then a suicide attack took place after the people including the security had gathered around the area where the mine had been detonated. 
Ayobi blamed the Taliban for carrying out the attack in which over a dozen people were killed and wounded that an on duty in the provincial hospital called six wounded individuals in critical condition. 
But, the eyewitnesses said the voice of gunfire had been heard from the site near the Sardar Modad Khan square, where the incident had taken place.

Kabul (BNA) Chairman and members of the Baks Shura of Doshi district of Baghlan province and the people of Behsud of Samangan province met with second vice president Mohammad Karim Khalili. 
They expressed satisfaction over meeting Khalili. 
They shared the problems of the Ismailia of Doshi of Baghlan and Behsud of Baghlan harshly affected people of the floods and drought as some of them have been displaced and resided in Kabul city and now they are suffering from lack of shelter, health care and food items and asked for serious attention of the government. 
At the meeting Mohammad Karim Khalili and chairman of the national committee for struggle against disaster said that there exist around 160,000 people  affected by drought during the current year and said that covering all these people are proceeding very well and assured them of addressing their problems. 
He stressed that there exist good opportunities in the new chapter of people’s lives and added that we should be preserving unity strive for consolidation of the new situation in the country.

Kabul (BNA) The meeting was chaired by second Vice-president Mohammad Karim Khalili and head of the economic committee. 
The meeting considering the importance of the issues, challenges and existing problems on the path of execution of development projects by the ministries and member department of the economic committee were discussed. 
The members of the committee expressed the reason for delayed implementation of projects and forwarded their viewpoints for bringing of effectiveness in this respect. 
They attributed strained security, low capacities of the foundations, corruption, land expropriation, complexity of procurement, non-existence of supervisory mechanism and other factors in delayed implementation of the projects. 
The CM economic committee instructed the ministry of economy and administration affairs department of the CM to arrange the viewpoints in two weeks and propose specific solutions aimed accelerating the development projects implementation to be referred to the CM session. 
Considering the creation of the assigned commission in this respect, it was decided in the meeting held among the ministries in Jalalabad that a commission led by minister of economy should continue studying the factors impeding timely execution of the development projects.

Suhar Gul’s Father In-Law Arrested

Pul-e-Khumri (BNA) Intensely tortured Suhar Gul’s father-in-law was arrested in the northern province of Baghlan province, an official said. 
Confirming the incident, an officer from the provincial security command of the province, Col. Sayed Zamanuddin Husaini said that father of Suhar Gul’s spouse had been detained in a police serious search in the capital city of the province, Pul-e-Khumri. 
The source said the police are also tracking down husband of Suhar Gul. 
The married 15-year old girl was said to be rescued by the police from a five month toilet lockup in the province.

Dr. M. Karim Assists Kabul Medical University

Kabul (BNA) An Afghan residing in the US, Dr. Mohammad Karim had assisted medical essentials to the Kabul Medical University, an official said. 
According to the press office for the ministry of higher education, the aid included 71 set of different medical facilities, one ambulance and one set of 60-kw generator totally costing $70,000 had been provided to the said university. 
The aids had been delivered to the Rector of the university, Dr, Sherin Aqa Zarif while the leading delegation of the university had been present.
