Mine Blast Took the Lives of three Soldiers

Maimana (BNA)  Three soldiers were lost their lives in explosion of a mine in Faryab last night.
Security officials of Faryab told BNA, the soldiers were martyred while their armored hit a mine in Khwaja Sabzposh district.
Two other soldiers have been injured in the event, said the source.

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has thanked the house of people for approving the national budget of 1399, a statement from the Presidential Palace said Wednesday.
The national budget draft which was sent to the house of people for approval, has been approved with an overwhelming majority of the house members’ votes, said the statement.
The country’s president who is in an official trip to Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, thanked the house of people decision to approve the 1399 national budget draft and called very important in implementation of the government basic plans and programs.

Kabul (BNA)   Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah has met with the US embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires to Kabul Ross Wilson and congratulated him his new job, a statement from his office said Wednesday.
The US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires thanked the CE and hoped he could serve for both countries during his term as Chargé d’Affaires, said the statement. Both sides also exchanged views on presidential election, addressing the electoral complaints and efforts for peace as well as internally displaced people during the harsh cold in the country.
The two sides also spoke about transparency in the election and called lasting peace from the main desire of the people, said the statement.

Kabul (BNA) National Security Advisor (NSA) of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Dr. Hamdullah Mohib met members of the Wolesi Jirga Tuesday night and stated of the need for cooperation between Wolesi Jirga and the security sector.
In his meeting with Hazara members of the Wolesi Jirga, the NSA said that the effectiveness of the reforms process alongside the government would require the parliament to support and over watch and help create joint mechanisms to serve that purpose.
He encouraged the members of Wolesi Jirga to encourage more young women and men to enroll in the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces. Members of Wolesi Jirga announced their full support for the ANDSF, the peace process and the rule of law. They hailed the efforts of National Security Advisor Dr. Hamdullah Mohib in improving the parliament relations with the government and asked for expansion of such friendly relations to other sectors too. NSA gave positive answers to their demands of improved security in the highways and the enrollment of capable and experienced individuals within the system.

NSA Receives UAE Ambassador to Kabul

Kabul (BNA) National Security Advisor of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Dr. Hamdullah Mohib met with Eisa Aldhaheri, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Kabul yesterday.
They discussed the growth of mutual relations and utilization of joint economic opportunities.
NSA said that Afghanistan is committed to expanding relation with its partners and also, willing to strength relations with the United Arab Emirates.

Kabul (BNA) Based on decree of President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, Mohammad Haroon Chakhansuri has been appointed as political deputy and acting minister of foreign affairs.
According to the Presidential decree, besides other responsibilities, Chakhansouri will also lead the foreign ministry’s reforms and is obliged to completely implement a range of reforms to improve working quality and capacity within the ministry. Besides, he is tasked to analyze current situation, evaluate all employees based on fixed standards, review regulations, procedures of the ministry to enhance the effectiveness of the institution and political and consulate agencies, create electronic system, launch international languages test and others tests for the employees, review structures of the ministry based on political and cultural needs of the 21st century and identify capacities based on professionalism, experience and skills to implement goals of the country’s foreign policy. It is worth mentioning that Chakhansuri has severed in different government and non-government positions, including deputy chief of staff and spokesman for the president.

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by Acting Minister of Information and Culture Hasina Safi, the consultative meeting for promotion of citizen culture was held yesterday.
In the meeting attended by representatives of a number of civil society organizations, Acting Minister of Information and Culture said it was a consultative meeting in which views of its participants were significant enough for the implementation of the mechanism.
Representatives of civil society organizations delivered the meeting their views and suggestions for codification of a plan in this regard.
In the meeting, it was decided that further discussion should be made in connection with the delivered visions and suggestions and an 8-member committee was created to exercise the goal.

Kabul (BNA) Body of the country's well-known artist and head of Afghanistan Cinematographer Union, Jawanshir Haidari was laid to rest at the Shuhada-e-Saleheen, the biggest graveyard in Kabul, late on Wednesday.
Wide number of culturists and cinematographers have attended his funeral ceremony held at the Shirshah Sory Mosque, few kilometers southwestern of the capital, and then his body was taken to the Shuhada-e-Saleheen graveyard and buried.
Before his burial, former Minister of Information and Culture, Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen, spoke about the art, talent, moralities and behaviors of late Haidari and said:
"I was calling him Jawanmard not Jawanshir, because of his real manhood and courage towards his art." He said late Haidari could serve well his country and his people despite severe condition in the country. While being laid to rest, Eng. Latif, famous cinematographer of the country and close friend of Jawanshir Hadiari said: "Jawanshir Haidari dedicated his live to serving his people and left behind many valuable cinema related works."
His son, Aimal also spoke about his father services to the country and said he was usually writing movie scripts and has forever thought for his people.
Late Jawanshir Haidari worked for more than four decades in the field cinema and passed away at 68 of his age.

Kabul (BNA) Twenty-six armed oppositions were killed in several clearing operations conducted by security and defense forces in various parts of the country.
National defense ministry press office told BNA, the security and defense forces in the last 24 hours conducting 12 offensive operations in Kandahar, Balkh, Helmand, Badakhshan and Laghman provinces, killed 26 armed oppositions, wounded 6 others.
Numerous of heavy and light weapons of the insurgents have been destroyed.

Ghazni (BNA) 200 displaced families received cash assistance in Ghazni yesterday.
Abdul Khaliq Ahmadi immigration and returnees head of Ghazni told BNA local correspondent, the office distributed 15,000 Afghanis for each of 200 families displaced by war and insecurity from their home to Ghazni.
