Kabul (BNA)   Hamid Karzai the president of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in a news conference, focusing on issues of great importance to Afghan people ended the ambiguities over some of the issues.
BNA political analyst writes, President Hamid Karzai at this news conference touching on some political developments in the country described each of the issue in detail to the participants of the news conference.
Holding presidential elections, the process of talks between Afghanistan and US over signing a security cooperation agreement and the impending visit of president Karzai to Pakistan were among the most important issues, that the people wanted to know about them.  Therefore, the president knowing the demand of the people, explaining in detail over the three issues ended the ambiguities on that regard.
Mr. Karzai at this press conference urged the people to take part in the upcoming presidential elections and to support this national program and share in determining the political destiny of their country.
Meanwhile, the Afghan president informing the participants of the press conference about   the process of talks with America on signing a security cooperation agreement   said that, the process of talks has reached a critical moment.  He made it clear that insuring security and stability in Afghanistan is at top of all other issues, therefore, before finalizing the talks and reaching an agreement, the Afghan people should become confident about the future of their country and its people.
The president added, “We want to know, how America deals against foreign invasion in Afghanistan and to what extend the security agreement safe Afghanistan against foreign interferences.”
President Karzai said, finally it is the people of Afghanistan who decide about signing the security cooperation agreement through holding the traditional Loya Jerga (Grand Assembly)
The statements by the president indicate that signing any security cooperation agreement with America should potentially guarantee the security of Afghanistan against any foreign interventions. Because in spite of that during the last 12 years, there were a huge number of international troops in Afghanistan who fought terrorism but unfortunately still terrorism not only threats Afghanistan and the region but also the entire world. On the other hand, Afghanistan has already signed strategic partnership agreements with some countries including US but so far, they have remained on the paper and not implemented in practice.
The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan seriously determined that both sides of the agreements should be committed to their commitments and work accordingly not just remains on the paper. According the agreements the sides while ensuring their own interests, they also should think about ensuring the national interests of Afghans.
The other issue that echoed in president’s speech was his impending visit to Pakistan. Mr. Karzai during the last 12 years visited 19 times. The aims of all the visits were improving relations between the two countries and ensuring security and stability in Afghanistan and in the region, but failed to achieve the aims. Today, the process of peace is on the agenda and Pakistan can play an outstanding role in this respect.
President Karzai wants his upcoming trip to Pakistan not to be the repetition of his previous visits but wants to have a tangible result in restoration of peace and security to the region.
According to Afghan experts, Pakistan as a sponsor of Taliban that has launched a proxy war in Afghanistan is the major player in settling Afghan crisis. Therefore,   Taliban  have no the capability of decision making  so talking with this mercenary group will bring no any result, therefore, the Afghan government should seek another source that has a great influence on the group.
Afghanistan will make its best efforts to achieve specific results from the new round of talks with Pakistan.
In the meantime, the visit take place in time, both Pakistan and Iran have recently seen politically positive developments and elected governments in these two countries have started their works which will without doubt play a positive role in ensuring  security and stability of the region.
Afghanistan transparent negotiation associated with practical commitments not only rescues the Afghan people from disaster of terrorism but the entire region.
