Sheberghan (BNA) The construction work of a building for the primary school of Khwja Dokoh district was started today. 
Abdul Hai Yasheen, education head of Jouzjan said to BNA, this new building will be constructed at the cost of $122,000 and has 6 classrooms, 2 administrative rooms and other facilities. 
It is said that in this School, 300 students study.

Kabul (BNA) The Government of Pakistan has offered 600 scholarships for the current academic year (2012-2013) for the Afghan students to study in different disciplines in the prominent educational institutions, professional colleges and universities of Pakistan.  Pakistan has been offering fully-funded scholarships since 2009 under “the Prime Minister of Pakistan’s 2000 Scholarships Scheme for Afghan Students”.
The Embassy of Pakistan held a written test today and the successful candidates would be able to benefit from the scheme to study in the educational institutions of Pakistan. All the expenses of the students including tuition fee, boarding and lodging, travelling to and from Afghanistan will be born by the Government of Pakistan. About 1500 Afghan student are alredy benefiting from this scheme. It may be mentioned that over thirty thousand afghan nationals have graduated from Pakistan Universities and Professional colleges in the last three decades who now play active role in the reconstruction and socio-economic development of their country.

The Government of Pakistan offers the scholarships to Afghan students in the fields of Medicine, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics, Natural Sciences and Teaching.
Pakistan attaches utmost significance to the development of education in Afghanistan and would further increase the number of scholarships in the years to come.

Kabul (BNA) 59 students were poisoned in Cha-Bagh girls’ high school in Sar-i-Pul city Jouzjan province this morning. 
The education director of that province told BNA reporter that the girls while entering the school yard, were poisoned and urgently were carried to the hospital of the city and recovered their health. 
It the second incident of its type, that targets female students in Sar-i-Pul.

Kabul (BNA) A three-day seminar for improving education system, vocational courses and finding job was concluded yesterday.
In the seminar attended by the ministers of higher education, work and social affairs, martyrs and disabled and the deputy to the education ministry.
A 30 article resolution was issued at the end of seminar which emphasizes for change in concord system, promoting the quality of general education and bringing change in the education system, the modalities of the giving scholarships, promoting vocational courses, supporting semi-higher education centers and ways to find jobs.
In his speech the minister for higher education Obaidullah Obaid said an inter-ministerial committee would be formed to implement the resolution.
Around 500 people from notable, experts and educationists had attended the seminar.
