Kabul (BNA) The construction work of new building for Balkh Bastan School in Mazar-i-Sharif completed and put in exploitation today.
Qais Maher Aieen head of education directorate of Balkh province said, the new building which has been build on a Jarib of land at the cost of 4 millions Afghani from UNCIF aid into two floors put in exploitation.
According to the source the building has 8 classroom, 4 offices and other facilities. Presently 1400 students both boys and girls are studying there.

Pul-i-Khomri (BNA) The foundation stone of the new building for Baghlan University was laid down by Higher Education Minister in the Momtaz Garden of Pul-i-Khomri city today.
Amanullah Ziahe Dean of Baghlan University told BNA, the new building having two separate blocks in two stories consists of administrative and teaching sections builds at the cost of 50 million Afghanis from the development budget of Higher Education Ministry.
He added, right now the students of this university run their studies on the rental houses that with construction of this building the shortages of classroom will remove.
Dean of Baghlan University said, besides not having building, the main problem is transportation and not having dormitory for girl students of this university.
Baghlan University has four faculties of Education, Literature, Agriculture and Engineering in which 2000 students are learning under the direction of 120 instructors.
In the ceremony of laying down the foundation stone, Obidullah Obid Higher Education Minister, Monshi Abdul Majeed Governor of Baghlan, people’s representatives in the Wolse Jerga and a number of state officials were present.

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai met with lecturers recently retired from the country’s universities.
At the meeting Prof. Hamidullah Amin former rector of Kabul University, Deen Mohammad former dean of Faculty of theology, Dr. Mohammad Tahir Hashimi lecturer of law and political science faculty, Pro. Mohammad Afzal Omari lecturer of science faculty and Sultan Hamid lecturer of veterinary faculty representing others talked and said that recently 32 lecturers collectively were retired that is unique in the history of educational order in the country.
They said that they accept retirement and respect the decision, but under the present conditions that the universities of the country need experienced specialist and there are short of cadres, collective retirement of lecturers who have opened long time in teaching students and they have obtained rich academic experience can create problems for the universities.
They also stressed that this process has taken place in the middle of the year can create problems for the students and educational system as well and it was good it should have taken place in the beginning or at the end of the year.
President Hamid Karzai said that forced retirement is no good indeed.
He instructed the in charges of the Ministry of Higher Education, Finance Ministry and the administrative affairs department to review their retirement issue and the needed lecturers should be kept till they train their assistant to replace them.
He also instructed to the Ministry of Higher Education so that in a regular program appreciate  the lecturers and those who cannot continue due to some reason use is made  of their experience in necessary areas.

Kabul (BNA) The new building of Teacher Training Center in Saripul was inaugurated by minister for education yesterday.
Director of education department in the province, Abdul Ghafoor Saripuli said to Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) yesterday, the new two stories building constructed on 70.000 square meters at a cost of 1.5 million US dollars provided by Germany.
The building has 23 class rooms, hostel and other supplements accommodates 1000 students including 465 girls.
