Balkh Schools’ Bell Ringed

Mazar-i-Sharif (BNA) Students of schools in Balkh province started their new education term today. 
A function was held for this purpose in Mazar-i-Sharif city, the education in-charges of Balkh, chairmen of state offices, ulema, clergies and parents of students were attended. 
Ghulam Haidar Qanoon deputy of Balkh education Dept. said, the new education year started before its time and he asked the students to make efforts and to have further attention to their studies. 
He added, warm weather and back to back holiday’s of the last year cased daily in the education system which was not completed and this year the program started before its specified time and it has plan to construct 80 new buildings for school in that province. 
This year 45,000 new students will attend in schools. 
He called lack of professional teachers a problem and said 50 percent of new books have been distributed for students. 
More than, 535,000 students (boys and girls) teach in 535 schools by 13 teachers in the center and districts of that province, the source added.
